We engaged Thibault Dacy after my wife began looking for window replacements. Our need was for two approximately 6’ by 6’ dual windows that were original with our 1970s house, plus we wanted to replace our front door which had a large glass oval window with poor seals and our rear patio sliding door with a solution that included a dog door that didn’t require an insert that limited the sliding door from fully opening. My wife found GoodName Co. via the Neighborhood site which referred to his Thumbtack profile, based on good comments on the site. In addition she looked at Renewal by Andersen, and Window World. Thibault allowed the option of shopping from different window manufacturers and to choose individually, the companies that made the door, patio door, and windows that met our needs. Additionally, he helped us find a patio door that includes the dog door in the sliding door integrally, which was more attractive and which included double layer flap with multiple magnets around the perimeter, resulting in a very insulated solution for the back door. His quote was competitive with labor and product cost both, so the excellent price, flexibility in product choice, and small, local business helped us confirm our decision. After ordering, Thibault kept in communication with multiple conversations while awaiting for delivery, and was flexible with us in installing the front door when it became available while still awaiting the other products. His install team were friendly, were careful in preparing the installation area and cleaning up. Throughout the entire purchasing and installation process, Thibault solicited our opinions and feedback, offered suggestions and took our feedback into consideration and respected our decisions. The few things that came up (whether recommending trim where it was needed, or the pitch of the patio door – which they pulled, re-shimmed, and reinstalled), were addressed equitably (if additional materials or labor were needed) and quickly. Overall, our experience with GoodName Co., Thibault, and his team was positive, the product purchasing and installation was easy and informative, and the quality of the products and the installation workmanship were excellent. GoodName Co. replaced almost all of the Windows on my house. Thibault was very professional throughout the entire process from finding windows that met our budget and explaining the expectations we should have when choosing the most affordable option to fixing work that we weren’t happy. The first installer did some sloppy work that we weren’t pleased with but also our Windows were original from the 70’s and the first installer failed to identify that our trim would most likely need replacing. Because the first installer failed to identify that problem and did some sloppy work, Thibault agreed to replace the trim and have a new installer clean up the areas we weren’t pleased with at no extra cost. The end result was so far above and beyond our expectations the windows look great we get a lot of compliments from friends and neighbors. Any construction projects will encounter some unexpected conditions but Thibault is true to his word and will make sure he makes his customer happy at the end of the day. I will certainly reach out to GoodName Co. for projects in the future.
