Chef Angela- Green Chow Down is amazing! She has a charming personality, is incredibly creative, and so knowledgeable. We made gluten-free dumplings with millets together, and I learned a lot from her. The results were delicious, and the experience was delightful. Highly recommend!

My lifelong love for the culinary arts and a career in film production culminated when I started pursuing my food service businesses starting in 2012. Over the years and after so many diverse events, I have specialized in several areas that set Green Chow Down apart in the catering industry. I treat every event as unique and special, and your menu will be a highlight of the occasion, which I customize according to your preferences, the theme, purpose, and any dietary requirement. I can prepare globally inspired cuisines that span the globe, including Pan-Asian, Pan-European, Pan-Latin American, Pan-Middle Eastern, and Pan-African fare. I can also prepare traditional American and California fresh, and am especially fond of creating fusion dishes. Because of my children's myriad food allergies and my personal journey with a plant-based diet, I have become an expert gluten free and vegan chef, accommodating any dietary request. Green Chow Down boasts the largest vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free menus- my clients have noted my ability to "veganize" menus, or make them gluten-free friendly. Being a master of plant-centric and gluten-free cuisine results in these dishes shining alongside meat-based dishes, ensuring all of your guests are treated equally. Cooking is a creative endeavor for me, and my favorite part is when my diners have no idea what might be "missing"! The gourmet menus my amazing team and I create for our clients are made with the highest quality ingredients. Our farm-to-table and slow-food approach make the difference for our clients. A few noteworthy events we have had the privilege to serve at include cooking on an airplane hanger for 125 passengers on a mock flight, prepping behind the Black Eyed Peas on stage (which included gluten free lumpia on the menu), setting up Moroccan tents and serving a Middle Eastern extravaganza that was kosher for Passover, a completely Barbie-themed menu, and an all plant-based afternoon tea menu. We can serve an intimate gathering to large scale groups- our largest to date is 4,000 guests over multiple days. We can prepare a halal menu or a kosher menu in a kosher kitchen. We have an extensive dessert menu, including gluten-free, low glycemic sweetened, vegan, paleo, keto, and we can incorporate your logo on icings & frostings. We offer full service espresso bars and bring in our partner bartenders. I am certified as a food safety manager and my team members are certified as food handlers and Responsible Beverage Servers. Angela and Green Chow Down catered my all-vegan wedding and it was a dream come true. The food was spectacular both in taste and presentation. The team handled all the rentals, service, etc. and the event was beyond perfect. I can not recommend them highly enough. Angela was very professional, responsive and creative in her beautiful and delicious dishes. She made fantastic and elegant menu recommendations that made our wedding day all the more spectacular. I would work with her again for any event.
Angela was wonderful to work with. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she nailed it. She even went out of her way to make the event plastic free. The only downside was the traffic day of the event caused a delay in drop off so it was a little stressful. But all the guests loved the food.
Angela was just perfect for my event. She was extremely professional, sent a contract with time for review and was very communicative throughout the hole process. I have never hired a caterer previously and was a little nervous, but she rocked it! Food was delicious 😋
We are very excited Green Chow Down will cater our wedding! I had big hopes for a fusion style brunch menu, and she came through beautifully. We had an incredible tasting session and I am probably most excited for the food now for the big day :) Not to mention, I wanted a chai spice cake and she is also going to be doing this! Angela is awesome! She was able to accommodate us on very short notice (one day) for a company event and delivered great quality. She was super responsive and we received positive feedback from our employees.
Really loved working with Angela and her staff. Food was delicious and on time and her staff was efficient and got the job done. No one went hungry and her bartenders made sure that there was never a line at the bar! Will definitely hire her again.
Angela is an exceptional caterer! We hired her for a long (10 day) job for a production crew, serving multiple meals for VERY hungry people. I heard consistently that they were the best meals the crew had ever had on a job. She was very thorough in her choices, and made it obvious that she takes pride in what she cooks, plans, and serves.
Angela was amazing, kind and professional. Her servers also were lovely and helpful. She prepared the most beautiful and delicious dinner with so much attention to detail, so fresh and so flavorful. Our bat mitzvah guests were super impressed. Green chow down comes highly recommended from us!!
