Reviews
Of the three recommendations, Handy Hero responded immediately and was patient as I considered my options. He came out to look at the job first and discuss the work to be done and what I could expect from the results. I am very satisfied and have the next project waiting for him.
Absolute disaster. Avoid Handy Hero and Vladimir at all costs! We hired Vladimir from Handy Hero through Thumbtack to refinish a set of six chairs. It has been hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. He showed up, did a completely half-assed, terrible job on just one of the six contracted chairs, and then literally walked off the job. He never bothered to show up the next day to continue working, completely abandoned the project, and has since ignored numerous text messages. He completely ghosted us.To make matters worse, because Thumbtack just sends random people, there is zero accountability and no recourse for the customer. I am now stuck with a completely ruined, unusable chair, a mismatched set, and a massive waste of my time and energy.Vladimir is completely unprofessional, unreliable, and lacks basic competence in wood refinishing. Save your money, your time, and your furniture—do not let this company anywhere near your home.
Vlad did an impeccable job re-staining my coffee table. He was on time, very polite and has a good demeanor. He included me in the important parts of the process, and even showed me four different stains on the wood before re-sanding and applying the stain of my choice. I will surely hire him moving forward and recommend him to all of my friends. Don’t even hesitate - Vlad’s your guy :)
Hired Vladimir to sand and refinish our table after months of trying to get professional businesses to respond and constant flakes. Tried Thumbtack and Vladimir was a top recommendation. He responded immediately and was extremely helpful. His price was more than fair and he got the job done quickly and it looks amazing! The wood had a few issues and together we came up with a plan to overcome them. He knocked it out of the park. I will hire him again anytime I need some wood refinished!
Vladimir did a great job. I was starting to think my Teak table and chairs were beyond being saved because they had old black mold stains. He made everything look like new again. I will definitely hire him again.
Vladimir refinished my antique drop-leaf table, which had large black stains & decades-worn finish. He received the wood. Now you can see the lovely grain & all the blemishes in the finish are gone! He was responsive, finished on time, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend and will definitely hire him again
Vladimir was so helpful building my furniture for me, I couldn't be more grateful! He was polite and professional, handled each item with care and did an excellent job. I highly recommend him for your handyman needs!
Helped repair a patch of our ceiling for a very affordable price. Did great work and was very easy to work with!
