Jon did a great job tackling multiple tasks around my home. He fixed a bowing board on my deck, cleaned and painted the gutters, removed moss from my roof and even washed all my windows — everything looks fresh and well-maintained now. I’d absolutely recommend Jon for anyone needing reliable handyman work!

About Handyman Services PDX
Professional, Reliable, and Outstanding quality that is above reproach. I'm very detailed and thorough with all aspects because I do not want to come back and spend time on something that I've already been paid for. To this day, I've never had to go back on a job and redo something due to poor workmanship. I enjoy meeting people and learning about them. I also like helping them and doing quality work! I have been working on my own for 9 years now. I continue to get better and smarter and upon doing so, I can pass savings onto you my customers. I am considered a jack of all trades and if there's something you think I may not be able to do, go ahead and ask as I have built up a reputation of doing almost anything. I guarantee my work and I do amazing work!

Jon did a great job on a railing for our front steps. He did quality work for a reasonable price. He also fixed a piece of siding o the front of our house. Nice job! Highly recommended! Also Jon remodeled a basement room for us. He did a great job. He turned a dark room into a bright and attractive room. He is skilled in installing and finishing drywall. Good for remodeling!
Jon was never on time. Some days he was a few hours late. Some days he didn't show up at all. The work he did was mediocre at best. He used the wrong type of caulk on my Hardie siding seems and now it all needs to be redone. I was considering using him to paint my house but after the fiasco with the caulking, his poor attendance, and constantly changing quotes, I told him I was going to use someone with more experience. And now things are getting worse. He refuses to return my $1,000 deposit even though he hasn't done any work. I'm writing this to warn people, especially older folks like myself, not to give Jon any money up front. I wish I hadn't been so trusting. I guess I learned my lesson. _________________ 05/22/2025 Update: It has now been two weeks since I requested that Jon return my deposit. Jon continues to make excuses and write long pointless text messages. I have been very clear about the steps to make this right. 1. Return all of my $1,000 deposit that hasn't already been spent. 2. Write a payment plan for the remaining money. 3. Once I've been paid in full, come to my house and pick up his ladders, sprayer, and pressure washer.
5 Stars – Highly Recommended! Jon did an excellent job replacing our wooden fence that was damaged by a recent storm. He was professional, efficient, and provided high-quality work at a very reasonable price. The new fence looks solid and well-crafted, and he completed everything on time without cutting corners. I really appreciated his clear communication and attention to detail throughout the process. Would definitely recommend Jon to anyone needing fence repairs or replacements!
Jonny went above and beyond! We’ve wanted matching shelves installed for a long time and could never quite find what we wanted for built-ins “out of the box.” He helped us design, build, and install exactly what we were looking for in a challenging area that isn’t level or quite evenly spaced. Can’t wait to get these painted and the rest of the fireplace remodel finished. Thank you Jonny!
I signed a contract for Jon R Pagel to install a Exterior door onto RV. After careful consideration John felt the door would not work and I was refunded my deposit.
John got in over his head on our project and it took dramatically more time than he thought. The quality of work was good. He was unable to provide his arrival times and that made it difficult to plan our day around him. However, he was sincere and worked hard so we probably would hire him again
Jonny installed an ac window unit for me. He was very professional and went above and beyond to make it look good. Would hire again.
Quick response to help with my misfiring smoke detector. Came a few hours after I got in touch, and I could get some sleep finally. Will recommend. Cheers.
Jon was quick to respond, courteous, and great to work with. I had to have an appliance installed on very short notice and he came at 7 pm on a Saturday night to do it. Great overall experience.
Jon was very good. Had a minor setback on the porch rail , but persevered and constructed a quality product. He stood behind his work and offered to come back if necessary. But I don’t I’ll call him back for this because he did a really good job! I highly recommend him.
I worked with Jon on changing old light switches to wifi switches. The Wifi switches needed a neutral wire, and they were often tucked back into the switch box. He also installed a RIng Pro 2 doorbell. The time went long, but he worked to see the job complete. I would work with Jon again on future projects. He was good at figuring out the necessary improvements needed in each step. Thank you.
I contacted Jon late Tuesday night through Thumbtack. He text me in the morning to confirm a 1pm appointment, he arrived sized up the job and gave me a quote along with being able to get it done right away. He installed a couple outlets in our bathroom, hooked them up so they work with the light switch which is exactly how we wanted it. Great customer service, super friendly and great to work with.
So happy with Jon. Great job installing my new stackable washer. Even cleaned up the dryer before restacking on the washer. Fair pricing. Even my hard to please hubby was pleased with the install. Will use Jon again
Jon did an excellent job for us! We needed a ceiling fan replaced, bathroom fan switch replaced and our doorbell fixed. He purchased the parts for the doorbell and bathroom fan switch before he arrived and replaced them quickly and efficiently. I had purchased the ceiling fan several months ago and Jon worked tirelessly to get it replaced for us. It never would work but that was not his fault. Turns out it was a bad fan. I purchased another one and Jon came out within 24 hours and installed it for no extra charge. Works perfectly! We really appreciate how professional Jon was throughout this process and we will definitely use him in the future and will recommend him to friends! Thanks Jon!
Super awesome guy with great values! Looking forward to more projects!
Very good work. Very satisfied. Was able to come out same day and do the chandelier instillation. Highly recommend.
Jon did several projects in the home for us but the main one was he installed a new kitchen faucet. His work was perfect and he is meticulous. Jon was also punctual. We will be using him in the near future for a few more things.
punctual and honest
We needed to have a roof mounted storage system installed. Jon was the first to respond, and we found a date and time a few days out that worked for both of us. Jon was about a half hour late, but he called ahead of our scheduled time to let us know. I showed Jon the boxed system and the space that I thought the unit would fit in the best and let him go at it. He did a very good job on installing the unit. Jon also paid attention to details - he mounted the unit in a slightly different area which would allow for another shelving unit to added at a later time, and he installed the unit to match the height of the existing racks. He was careful to not disturb the stuff that we had stored in the garage, and he cleaned up the work area. He briefed me on what he had done afterwards. I would definitely contract with Jon on the next job I need done.
