I had 3 toilets that were running, and a door that required the weather stripping at the bottom to be replaced. Volo was very helpful in properly diagnosing the issue with each and resolved each one. He was very professional, kind, and responsive. His work also comes with a warranty. I greatly appreciate the work he completed and will most definitely use him with future home repair needs. Continues to contact me at unprofessional hours (2am) after I have already declined using his services. Make sure your phone is on silent at night. UPDATE: He replied to my review because I told him I'd reported him for harassment and not to contact me again, thinking a review reply was a loophole. I've received TWELVE inbox messages since declining his services. I've never 'reviewed' someone based on their communication only, rather than services, but when I am being bullied and pestered it is very unprofessional and also warrants a review. Thumbtacks safety team agrees. Hire at your own discretion.
He did a good job and came back to make sure everything was completed. We had a small misunderstanding about pricing, but in the end he handled everything professionally. He got the work done. I appreciate him coming back and taking care of everything. Overall excellent work.

Terrible service. We agreed on a price, I bought materials for job, he told me that I had the wrong materials. I offered to get the new materials while he worked on the first shelf and yet he kept talking about he needed to use his which would cost me more money. every 5 mins it was something else. I saw this as a simple job, move a shelf up and install the other I paid 50.00 dollars for travel and 50.00 to take down one shelf. and I still have to pay someone else to do the work. total waste of my time and money. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Volo was so upfront and honest about what I was asking him to do and that is rare. He could have done what I asked taken my money and when things fell apart been long gone. Instead he took the time to explain the issues involved with my project and gave clear guidance on what was needed. I so appreciate his honesty! I had him work on another project and he is very detailed in his work and doesn’t rush. He charges a fair price as well!

Handyman Volo does a good job! He arrived on time and went to work. He was able to complete the job installing a new faucet. There were some complications but he resolved the issue. He also hung a ceiling fan and the room look really nice with the new addition! He's personable and has an attention to detail. Call him if you need handy man services!
Response to Comment: First, the statement he responded “within the first minute” is simply not accurate. The reality is that another contractor responded to me first, provided a quote quickly, and was hired before this contractor ever reached out. According to the timestamps, the response was over 12 minutes later, not “within the first minute” as repeatedly claimed. Second, once I had already hired someone else and completed the project, I was no longer actively checking Thumbtack messages. I understand contractors pay for leads and invest time into responding, but customers are also allowed to choose the professional they feel is the best fit without being made to feel guilty afterward. Most importantly, my review was not based on the fact that I did not hire him. It was based on the communication and behavior that followed. The repeated messages, defensiveness, pressure to remove my review, and attempts to shift blame onto me are what I found unprofessional. Reviews are reflections of personal experiences. We may not have completed a project together, but we did communicate directly, and that interaction is what my review is based on. A fast response time alone does not automatically entitle someone to the job, and customers should not feel pressured or harassed after choosing another option. If the situation had been handled professionally and respectfully after the fact, I likely would have reconsidered my original review. Unfortunately, the continued messaging and public response have only reinforced my concerns. And I am shocked at his attempt to frame me as someone who lacks “humanity,” “respect,” or “basic politeness,” when in reality the only aggressive and attacking communication in this situation came from him afterward. My review was never about the fact that he did not get hired. It was about how he handled rejection and how I was treated after the fact. Reviews are reflections of personal experiences, and unfortunately this experience became increasingly uncomfortable due to the continued defensiveness, pressure, and attempts to shift blame onto me. We had an amazing experience with Volo! We hired him through Thumbtack to install four floating shelves in our bathroom, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish.
