Unfortunately I would not recommend HennaByRupali for your mehendi, especially bridal mehendi or guest mehendi. Her designs were pretty, but I have 3 key issues with her service: poor henna quality, inability to fulfill all guest henna as promised, and unprofessional behavior. 1 - My bridal mehendi and guest mehendi was very poor quality. It did not stain dark or last more than 3 days before fading. I have gotten henna at Indian weddings that has lasted longer. Rupali maintains that this is because it’s ‘natural’ henna vs ‘chemical’ henna. None of my Indian friends maintain that this is a legitimate excuse. As a bride, my mehendi was not what I had hoped for. It didn’t get dark enough and faded very quickly. Which was disappointing because there was nothing I could do about it for the wedding day. 2 - We talked very far in advance that I would need both bridal mehendi and guest henna for my entire bridal shower of about 20-25 guests. She recommended her bridal package + 2 hours of guest henna. She arrived 15 minutes late and then spent almost 3 hours doing my bridal mehendi, and could only get through about 15 guests. When my mother in law and aunt offered to help her so everyone could get mehendi, she refused. And left without at least half of my guests getting mehendi, which honestly was kinda embarrassing for me as I had never booked an artist before. 3 - I heard from multiple guests, including my mother in law, that Rupali was complaining about me to them during their henna session saying things like “I don’t know what the bride is thinking.” Even if you feel that way, girl don’t be saying that to my guests like they are obviously going to tell me. 😅 The day after our wedding I reached out to her that I was not satisfied with the mehendi and asked for a partial refund, which she refused, even after I showed her the photos of the fading. PHOTOS: the first 3 photos are my guest’s henna after 3 days following her aftercare instructions. The last photo is my bridal mehendi after 4 days. We got the mehendi done 2 days before the wedding. Will update with how it looked on wedding day when I get those photos from The photographer!
