Good experience
From the very beginning, it was a great process. Hercules Movers kept in touch and gave me a continuous timeline so that I was always up-to-date. They delivered exactly what they promised. They went and picked up a piece of furniture for me and then brought it to my house. The two gentlemen were incredibly polite and so helpful. The furniture was handled very delicately and was completely wrapped. I would definitely use them again. I thought they were fantastic!

The worst moving experience I've ever had, and I've moved a ton! This crew was slow, they knew what they were doing to run the clock. Their rate had lots of surprise fees, after paying $390, they demanded an additional $1,200 or said they would put our things in storage. They charged us for 7 hours when they started at 9:05am and ended at 3:05pm (that's 6 hours). It took them 30 minutes to drive the 15 minutes to the new place. It has never taken movers more than 2.5 hours to move my stuff. They're going to say we had a ton of stuff - we don't. It was a very typical one bedroom move. It took 4 hours to empty our apartment and 75 minutes to get everything into the new one because my husband and I were pushing them to keep moving. We called the cops to document the case so we can report the company (they also called me racist for that). And now they are threatening me for posting honest reviews. (I've worked with a lot of Thumbtack pros, my reviews are usually 5 stars). Do not do not do not hire them. Thumbtack should be ashamed that they allow them on their platform.
Extremely unprofessional experience. I would not recommend this company. I had already done a large portion of the work myself by bringing most of my belongings downstairs and closer to the truck, yet the movers seemed to deliberately take their time, which resulted in additional time and charges. It felt like the process was being unnecessarily dragged out. To make matters worse, once we arrived at the storage facility, they unloaded my belongings in front of the storage area instead of actually placing them inside my storage unit. I was left there late at night having to move and organize everything into the unit myself—which defeats the entire purpose of paying professional movers. The most unacceptable part of the experience was what happened over the tip. The movers became upset because they felt the tip I gave them wasn’t “big enough.” They told me that the company supposedly wasn’t paying them for the move and even made comments about going to my home because they were unhappy with the tip. That crossed a serious line and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. A customer should NEVER be pressured, intimidated, or made to feel responsible for how a company compensates its employees. A tip is optional and should not determine whether a customer is treated professionally. I paid for a professional moving service and instead ended up doing a significant portion of the work myself, paying for unnecessary time, and dealing with completely inappropriate behavior over a tip. I would absolutely not use this company again.
From Megan :Upon arrival, the men assisting my move were immediately quick & efficient with loading the truck up with my items. Without their help, i would have been spending hours loading & unloading extremely heavy boxes. They were super kind & efficient to help wherever they could to assist me with my move. In addition, communication with them was simple, straight to the point & effective. Responses were quick & respectful. Considering that moving can be notoriously difficult, the movers were eager to help eliminate that weight of stress so that I could then move forward with my life. From Megan’s mom: finding Hercules movers via thumbtack was a lifesaver for me! I live in Tennessee and my daughter is in Florida. I felt very comfortable in the fact that Megan was in good hands. The movers did an amazing job in helping Megan move to a new location. Thank you !
cody and his partner came right on time. did their job and they did a great job.
hired them for a local move. they had very flexible availability. unfortunately, they were late by 2 hours, and there was some miscommunications in terms of pricing, but they corrected their mistake and i feel it was still a very fair price. the movers were very friendly, good with communicating, and able to move everything with ease. nothing damaged. i'll be hiring them in the future.
