They emailed me a proposal. I replied back the next day and told them I would like to proceed. When I didn't hear back after more than a week, I called them. They said that the promotional quote was no longer valid and that my project didn't meet the $5K minimum. I stressed to them that I replied back the next day and they knew it was a small project from the beginning, so why did they submit a proposal if they weren't going to honor it? The best they could offer me was a price $1K more. I hung up.

Made a request for landscaping. Was going to follow up with companies in a week because life got busy. They call every day 2-3 times a day since the request.
If you own a high-end home, especially one with smart features, and expect professional work, skilled craftsmanship, or adherence to a timeline, do not hire Hi-Tech Builders. Full stop. They are not equipped for projects requiring attention to detail, proper planning, or skilled execution. If you own a basic income property where “cheap and eventually done” is acceptable with no need for communication, maybe you might be a consideration, but for anything else, look elsewhere. We hired Hi-Tech Builders for a full bathroom remodel and coffee bar installation. Their original estimate was June 10 - August 10. Shockingly, they were still on-site mid-October attempting to repair their numerous mistakes, months past the deadline. Red flags appeared immediately: the shower framing disregarded design plans on day one and had to be torn out and reframed. This showed a clear inability to read plans or pay attention to detail from the start. Communication was consistently poor. After owner David’s initial visit, he never returned, leaving us with a team (Frederick, Karen, and Gal) who were terrible communicators. When confronted about constant mistakes and lack of progress, Frederick’s lack of basic project management skills (like using checklists or checking inventory) was evident. They showed shocking disregard for our property: used no protective tarps and spilled paint on wood floors. They used the front yard as an unprotected workspace (no plastic or canvas coverings), permanently staining plants/trees and leaving construction debris. Their technical skills, especially with modern features and standard fixtures, were severely lacking. They removed our expensive smart Lutron light switches (~$250 each), replaced them with cheap, incompatible ones. We recovered over $1200 worth of our switches but had to hire a separate, qualified electrician to install them correctly. Similarly, Frederick’s team failed three times to fix bathroom water pressure/temperature issues, requiring us to hire a different plumber. Most disturbingly, they ignored a strange smell we reported. By February 2024, months after they finally left, the smell led us to hire yet another independent plumber. He discovered Hi-Tech had incorrectly installed our $5000 Toto Neorest toilet, causing a steady leak directly into the wall. The wall was full of black mold from months of leaked toilet water due to their gross incompetence. We spent thousands of dollars on costly repairs to fix the severe damage and hazardous mold they caused. We would not trust them to fix it, even under warranty. Despite the job being months past the deadline and clearly unfinished (like the unpainted window frame), they kept demanding final payment, including demands in September before their mid-October departure. This was a frustrating, damaging, hazardous, and prolonged experience requiring significant additional cost to fix their fundamental errors. Hi-Tech Builders proved utterly incapable of managing a project professionally, delivering quality work, properly handling fixtures (standard or smart), diagnosing problems, or respecting property and time. Their incorrect installation of a high-end toilet led to severe water damage and mold, costing us thousands in further repairs. Look elsewhere if you value professionalism, skill, communication, adherence to schedule, and not having your home damaged or health put at risk by incompetent work. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

I wouldn’t recommend. The intake process includes many questions. I only wanted a quote. I was told the minimum cost but they haven’t even came to see the bathroom or asked what I wanted remodeled.
The Hi-Tech team demonstrated professionalism and quality craftsmanship in completing our kitchen renovation. Led by Project Manager Dvir, the drywall, painting, cabinetry and ceramic flooring work was excellent. Kudos to Daniel, Daniel and Darnell for giving us our kitchen back! The office team of Karen and Mitz did a great job of coordinating communication regarding project details and schedule. We definitely would use Hi-Tech again, and highly recommend the company.
