Michael worked within my budget and made the project a success within the limitations of my budget. Overall, really satisfied with the results.
I highly recommend Hock Eye Construction for your next project. The crew is professional, reliable, and highly skilled. The company's owner is organized, professional, and very attentive to customer requests. I'm very happy with the work that was completed.
We hired Michael and his team to convert our unfinished basement to 90% living space. Michael worked within our budget and timeline and was a great communicator and collaborator. He and his crew took care to always clean up, and when it came to drywall and finishing work his team earned high praise from our other contractors due to the quality of the work. Our electrician specifically said he had never seen better work even without the final coat of spackle and sanding. We highly recommend Michael and Hock Eye Construction and would happily work with them again!
Mike and his crew did a great job, I will use him again and again! I’m referring family and friends and showing what great work they did. Thanks again, Michael!
Michael and his crew just finished replacing a wooden pergola over my large deck. They did an outstanding job and my wife and I are very satisfied with the final project. I am a retired engineer and they followed my design perfectly. I will certainly hire Michael and his crew for any future projects. I tried to upload a photo but the system failed to accept my 1 MB image.
Mike and his crew are beyond professional and I would recommend Hock Eye Construction with the highest regards. From Mike’s first text to the final touches, I don’t have one negative comment, even when I had a concern at the beginning of the project; Mike listened and pivoted to make my vision possible. He and his crew created this beautiful built-in that made our room feel complete. Hock Eye Construction is already lined up for future projects!
I’ve been trying for many months to find someone to fix the unusual semi-underground drainage system at the rear of my house. Michael was the perfect choice and I was so glad to find him! He diagnosed the problems and came up with a reasonable multi-pronged approach for how to address the issues. He quoted me a very fair price for time and labor, and he and his team completed the job admirably well. They also addressed other issues with my gutters / drains that they identified outside the original scope and I was very grateful to have those taken care of too! I’m so relieved to finally have this repair completed and I am so pleased with the work that I’m already scheming up additional projects for Hock Eye Construction to take care of. Happy to recommend Hock Eye to anyone in need of reputable home repair work. Thanks Michael!
I recently used Hock Eye Construction for some deck repair work. The crew was prompt and very friendly. They listened to my needs and worked diligently throughout the project. Michael was very responsive and explained everything that had to be done in detail as well as provide recommendations and low cost alternatives. Would highly recommend and definitely use again should the need arise.
Mike and his crew did a great job fixing our deck. They cleaned everything up along the way. We will definitely bring them back in the fall for a larger job!
Mike was responsive. On time. Professional and fairly priced. Would highly recommend him. He did our wood wall
Thank you for the amazing work. I’m so glad I found you. Getting my permit will be a breeze now.
He could have much better customer service. I was to have 3 closets done & he quoted me a price. His employee got here almost an hour late, we had to drive to Lowe’s where his employee & I picked something that would work. The suggestion that the owner gave was not going to work & his employee told me that also. I wanted just 2 rows of organizers with a pole/rod to hold up the clothes He gave me a quote of $300 for all 3 closets. Only 2 were completed & he blamed me, saying it was all my fault for changing the suggestion he showed me (which would’ve had the bottom rack of clothes dragging on the ground) He was rude to speak to, didn’t tell me how I should pay his employee. I told him the night before that I wanted to pay cash. When I came to see the work, only 2 closets were done. All the garbage was left in The closets or on the floor. I had sent a very detailed description of what I wanted done, including the bar. He kept saying I couldn’t do that. He just wanted to add a lower bar & call it a day. He blamed me nonstop for every single thing! He charged me for 7 hours. His employee was an hour late & then we spent an hour in Lowe’s. He said I took that long to decide, when I went to 2 different departments waiting for his employee. He gave his employee NO direction. He told me that I changed the scope (which I didn’t, I just didn’t want the piece of garbage he suggested which is why I wanted the organizers. He told me It was only going to take his employee 10 minutes to do each closet, but he was charging me $300. He charged me $75/Hr. I was moving the day this was done & the employee was texting me in the middle of 20 things & I didn’t even see it until today that he sent a text that he did 2 closets, but I had already spoken to him in the prior & said, you finished all of the closets upstairs, right? He said yes. He has zero customer service, he was unpleasant, I would never hire his company or even speak to him again. I tried to pay in cash & even mentioned it to him the day after & he said so nasty, “My employee has nothing to do with the payment!” Since when? How many times do you pay an employee or they give you a method of payment ahead of time!
Mike and his crew did a great job on installing my new outdoor stairs. They definitely exceeded my expectations.
We hired Michael to redo our deck stairs and platform to our deck. Michael and his guy Doug were very professional. The work was high quality and they took their time to apply detail to make the finished project stand out. He responded quick to my initial request and was able to get me on the schedule in a timely manner. What they built is sturdy and will last a very long time.
