Hi. I’m Joe, a regular guy who used to have a regular job. I love the little things in life and never take myself too seriously. Laughing with friends and enjoying my family are two of my favorite things. Today, I consider myself the luckiest person on earth. But that wasn’t always true….. After graduating art school, I was afraid of the unknown I faced. I was afraid of failing. I didn’t know what the path forward looked like. And with the economy in crisis, I wasn’t sure how, when, or where I was going to find another job, especially one that I liked. I did what so many do. I took what I could and spent years in jobs that weren’t fulfilling for a paycheck. Thankfully, I learned the entire time. I learned about leadership, time-management, exceeding deadlines, and that details are just as important as the overall vision. I demonstrated all of these crucial business skills, but without the satisfaction and fulfillment. What was wrong with me? Was I crazy? It was all a bit maddening. Then a crazy idea popped into my head: I could work for myself. I kept creating. I kept imagining. I kept my inner child. I have held on to those dreams that keep the fires of creation burning. I also learned that the most successful people in the world are the ones that have failed the most. Like Edison said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Although the entrepreneurial path has been risky, it is invigorating and feels right. The rest, as they say, is history…. Imagination is always encouraged here, and no idea is too extreme for me. Years of experience have taught me about exceeding expectations and meeting deadlines. Opportunities are everywhere, we just have to be willing to see them! I don't just enjoy what I do, I LOVE what I do! The creative process is about collaboration, and this is what I was born to do!

If I could give Joe 100 stars, I would. He took a very niche subject and turned it into a work of art. Joe was very thorough in his questioning about illustrating my children’s book for blind children. He was able to completely capture what I had in mind in terms of how I want my book illustrated. He was amazing with the feedback I gave him and did everything he could to make it right. I am so, so very lucky and grateful I found him!
Joe did such an amazing job with Millie the Mayor Baby! Not only is he clearly talented, but he was so patient with me and my stick-figure story boarding and feedback on first drafts. He made the whole process so easy and really brought Millie to life.
Joe does fantastic work! He was punctual and extremely helpful in making my design ideas come to life. I will absolutely continue to use him for future projects.
Joe has illustrated 3books for me. They are gorgeous. He knows color, layout, balance and draws beautifully. He readily alters illustrations when requested. And he shows warmth and humor in his drawings.

After viewing some of his other fantastic work samples online, I contacted him, having a very professional conversation about what we were looking for in an illustrator and he fit the bill to a T! He drew a mock up image of the character that I wished to create and we fell in love with his work! We hired him on the spot, he accepted the job and I am so glad that he did! Joe is a true business professional and an absolute illustrative genius! I don’t think that anyone else in the world could have done the beyond outstanding job that he did! Joe was great to work with and delivered the source graphic docs for a quick turnaround project quite fast. The key issue we had with his work is that he did not draw the images from scratch, rather he used a vector trace on sample raster images we sent to create the final product. He was very willing to work with us to get things "right" but didn't quite have the skill set for work we needed done. Can't complain as his rate was very reasonable for the type of work requested.
Joe is wonderful, simply put. We had a ton of different ideas of where we wanted our logo to go, and Joe helped to refine them with ease. He communicates quickly, and was very thorough in how he applied our feedback. Joe is genuinely excited about working with you to create your design/logo, so it felt like a collaboration, which made the process fun and and efficient. Lastly Joe was very patient with us, since many folks on our team wanted to give input, it took us months to come to a decision and Joe was very understanding. When we finally agreed on a concept and let Joe know, he immediately ran with it. We will be returning to Joe for any other design/logo work we need - and you should too!
