Reviews
I needed to replace a flange for a better fit on our handheld wall mounted shower after a recent remodel. Our usual plumber lives far away and I didn't want to bother him for such a small task. I sent in pictures to J. Blanton but I was told they needed to come in person for a quote. The tech showed up and quoted us $720. What a joke. Literally just had our plumber install a bathtub, sink, toilet, and shower fixtures for less than that quote total. Look elsewhere unless you have $$$ to burn.
J Blanton made a truly absurdly high and unprofessional quote and estimate for a plumbing job at my Condo. I needed to replace a Kohler Shower Cartridge for my shower. They quoted me $ 1804 for the job and $ 389 to tighten my toilet seat. Upon checking with the plumbing contractor who services my building they were able to replace the cartridge with a new Kohler Cartridge for $ 29 and added a screw and tightened my toilet seat for free. The entire job came to less than $ 50. Versus the price of $ 2193 that J Blanton quoted.
Very satisfied
Communication was quick and with continual updates. Technician came out the next day for the estimate and the following day the work was done. Very polite, friendly and professional.
Very successful
Very friendly customer service. However, was informed that someone will give me a call within 15-30 minutes to schedule an emergency appointment and no one ever called. Ended up going with another company.
The technician was professional and explained the cause of the issue.
I have requested them to give a quote for fixing the Water softener which I am buying. Maximum 30ft pipe connections needed. He said the labor will be around $3000 and if i am buying water softener from them, then it will be more than $5000. Not sure why this expensive as even the expensive saltless water softener is less than $1300. Will not suggest this company.
Pricing is absolutely outrageous, plumber called me constantly without leaving a message while I was in a doctor's appointment (just continuously dialed me, over and over again, until I picked up, which is obnoxious). Then acted like loan sharks trying to collect payment before they were even done with the job (once again calling me continuously while I was still in said doctor's appointment). I felt shook down and extorted after this experience. $820 to install a customer supplied bathroom faucet is unreal, if I didn't have tenants waiting on the repair I would have absolutely told them to fuck right off.
Frustrating experience overall. Had a same day cancellation to start with, then had the nerve to price gouge me for a simple job. Called another plumber in the area and Blanton ended up being 5x the cost.
He was great!
