Didn’t do a thorough job at all. The project was specifically for weeding which barely got touched! Charged me 280 for a 20$ job!
The quality of the work in the backyard was good, but the attention to detail and overall aesthetics fell short of my expectations. The project was mainly inside the backyard included adding mulch, painting the interior side of the fence, and installing a new side gate. The gate was average at best, with uneven board lengths and a finish that looked rushed rather than professional. My biggest issue was that the contractor painted the exterior side of the new gate even though the rest of the exterior fence was not being painted. The paint job was subpar and left the gate looking mismatched, which now requires me to spend additional money to have the exterior fence painted to make everything look cohesive.
I recently hired this landscaper to install sprinklers and sod in a small area of my backyard and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He was attentive-he listened carefully to what I wanted, asked the right questions and took time to answer my questions. The job was completed very quickly and it was evident that he was eager to please and took pride in his work. Additionally, his price was Incredibly fair and reasonable. I would not hesitate to use Jorge again and recommend him to anyone looking for sprinkler and sod services.
I would NOT recommend doing business with Jorge Landscaping. They came out to my home on April 23 and charged me $220. I was told that payment included a yard cleanup PLUS service every two weeks until June, and then after June I would start paying $90 monthly for bi-weekly service. Basically, I paid upfront. They serviced my yard on April 23 and then came back again two weeks later, which clearly confirmed the agreement we discussed. However, they were supposed to return on May 16 and never showed up. I reached out again on May 23 asking why no one had come, and suddenly he tried to say the $220 was ONLY for a cleanup. That makes absolutely no sense when you already came back out for another service visit. I also have ADT security cameras, so the conversations and visits are recorded. I just moved into my home, so I never even needed some major “yard cleanup” in the first place. The grass was simply a little high. I’ll be posting photos and screenshots of the messages between us because people deserve to know before spending their hard-earned money. After looking deeper into their reviews, it seems like there have been multiple issues with other customers as well. That’s not good business. Please make sure you get multiple quotes before paying anybody upfront for yard service. Don’t make the same mistake I did paying $220 to someone who did not honor their agreement. Times are already hard enough right now, and people should not be getting scammed out of their money. Thumbtack seriously needs to reevaluate allowing this company on their platform because this experience was completely unprofessional. And another thing… why would you come back out on May 2 if the $220 was supposedly “just for a cleanup”? That makes absolutely no sense. Clearly there was an agreement for ongoing service, otherwise there would’ve been no reason for a return visit. Also, let’s be real — $220 for THAT cleanup alone was definitely not worth it. Everything started very good. The work was done nicely and quickly. Unfortunately it rained the weekend of the work and there wasn’t enough dirt laid over the irrigation and draining pipes. The pipes are exposed and the grass has grown in patchy. After several times communicating our concerns it’s been a month and nothing has been done.

They showed up early to our appt and were ready to work today! They did a great job. They didn’t mow my grass to short, they edged, and took care of the weeds. I’m very happy with the results.
This guy quoted me 250 for a job supplies on him. I ended up doing 75% of the supplies. I referred him to a friend. My friend paid him first then the guy’s been lagging to finish the job. I paid him to throw seed throw dirt, he went to Home Depot get two small bags of dirt. I have a supply the seed and the rest of the supplies. He still wanted to charge me the same in my place does not look to what he had promised. as you can see, I have a lot of ball spots. He had to use my own tool as a rotor tailor because he did not provide his own.
They were able to complete the same day the came to give an estimate, great work!
I was stuck with months of overgrowth after our twins were born and needed help, quickly. Not only did I get a response within 10 minutes for a quote, it was fair, and the work was done that same day! I will continue to use for maintenance work and highly recommend to anyone in Sacramento looking for landscaping and lawn professionals.
I was originally quoted $150 for a tree trimming service over the phone. However, once they arrived on site, the price was increased to $300. I agreed to the updated amount. The owner, Jorge, does not speak English, so his assistant handled all communication and translation. After finishing the trimming, the assistant requested an additional $50 because they had trimmed the tree shorter than expected. They were also unable to finish trimming the top of the tree because it was slightly slippery due to a light rain shower. I asked them to return when the weather improved to complete the job, and the assistant agreed on behalf of the owner. I called and texted multiple times afterward and eventually spoke with Juan, another assistant. He explained that Jorge said there was a “misunderstanding” and that they would not be returning, claiming the job was already completed—even though the top remained untrimmed/unfinished. I received similar quotes from two other companies but chose Jorge’s because his estimate was nearly half the cost. Unfortunately, I ended up paying for an incomplete job. I would not recommend this company, especially if you do not speak Spanish, as communication was a major issue throughout the process.
Jorge did an amazing job on landscaping my front yard. I wanted to have mulch that had weeds growing through removed and replace it with rocks. He negotiated a really great price for me that I could afford. He brought out rocks that I could pick from when he first came out and sourced the rocks for me. I’m giving 5 stars because I think he and his team did a fantastic job.

The first time I booked them, they never showed up, after I waited a week for service and turned down other companies. When they finally rescheduled, they spent just 45 minutes on my yard and charged me $400. All they did was mow and weed whack, and they were incredibly careless. They damaged many of my plants, ignored my instructions, removed everything from entire garden beds, CUT DOWN TO THE ROOT, and even broke sprinklers. Still, I tried to give them a chance to make it right. I sent pictures and documented the issues, and they promised to come back the next day. Guess what? They never showed up. Unacceptable. I work hard for my money, and this company completely disrespected my property and my time. Do not hire them.
Jorge, Jose, and Rosa did a wonderful transformation of our yard. They are easy to work with and complied with our wishes. We've hired them to come back every two weeks in order to keep our corner lot neat and tidy.
My lawn wasn't up to standard. Wasn't cut low as needed.
