Rene did a great job removing the carpet in our bedroom and installing vinyl plank. He was responsive, professional and he provided a transparent and competitive upfront estimate. I painted the baseboards in these photos, so any flaws there are my fault and not his.

Reviews
This is a long-overdue review! 😅 Working with Rene was as smooth as one could hope for. Even before he won the job, he spent over an hour with me discussing the various options and why each was better or worse than others. I then, after spending a couple weeks sourcing the material and doing the demo, reached back out to him with my final choices. He was happy to pop by my place and see what he was dealing with. We set a date but ended up having to push it by a couple of days without issue. Started at 8 am and done by 5 pm! Rene was a pleasure to work and chat with. His knowledge and easygoing attitude made the experience great and stress-free!
I just asked for a quote, sent details and photos. His quote was much higher than others professionals. So i didn’t choose him. Suddenly i received a very rude message from him accusing me to just waste his time and why im getting quotes from others!!! We just sent few texts and he didn’t even visit my place. Im still shocked about his text… very unprofessional…
Needed to replace some floor panel. Helped me identify and order the required panels. Was very professional and clean in the work. discussed the different options for fixing the issue, finished and cleaned up.
Rene did an amazing job on sanding the floor and matching stain to our existing floors. Everything turned out amazing!
working with GRP flooring was amazing. I’ve never done any construction project or anything like that before ever. They were super responsive, showed up exactly when they said they would, and did an amazing job. Recommend them to everyone.
JRP Floring did a great job of installing new hardwood in damaged kitchen area. They finished the job quickly in 1 hr and professionally.
Rene and his team did a great surface refinishing job for us. The project took over a full week including two weekends. Quality of work has been fantastic. Rene’s team have always been on time on schedule, always responsive to my inputs. Rene is very professional and easy to communicate.
Rene was very professional, gave us a detailed plan on how to make the subfloor level. The quote was reasonable, contract and his work were professional. Rene was able to accommodate to our work time due to our other renovation projects. Would recommend Rene for floor related project.
We are so happy with the work from JRP Flooring. they arrived on time when we asked them to come at 8 AM and always finished when they said they would. They committed to a date and never changed it. They answered all our questions in person and via email. Amazingly, they matched the stain color of the room to the hallway. I was skeptical, they were confident, and they were right! I would use them again for any flooring needs.
JRP Flooring does good work, is responsive, proactive, and was an absolute dream to work with. I wish all people in this field were like Rene and team.
Rene and his team did an amazing job on my severely damaged hardwood floor. They restored it to look like new and even fixed some damaged sections without extra cost. I would hire them for any future floor work without hesitation. His pricing was very reasonable and finished the project on time. Very professional work!!
Before I dive into my review, I’d like to acknowledge that Rene from JRP Flooring did complete the main objective — cutting out a section of flooring in front of our dishwasher so it could be slid out. However, I’m quite disappointed with how the business was conducted. During the initial visit, I was told the task would involve “carefully gluing intricate pieces” underneath the laminate after making the cutout. Based on that explanation, I understood the job to require fine craftsmanship and agreed to the quoted price of $350, especially since the company had perfect 5-star reviews. When the actual work was done, I wasn’t present — my wife and our nanny were. They observed that the task simply involved making a cutout, which took about 30 minutes. During that time, Rene also took two business calls. There was no intricate gluing or detailed work as described earlier. When I raised this concern, Rene mentioned that he typically charges a $400 minimum service fee, something that was never disclosed beforehand and only brought up after the work was done. To add to that, the quality of the cut itself was underwhelming — the lines don’t align with the existing grooves, suggesting a lack of attention to detail. Given all this, I cannot in good faith give more than one star for this experience.
Rene and Brendon refinished our kitchen and dining room floors. They make an outstanding team! Their quality of work was everything we hoped for and more. We felt very comfortable with them. They addressed our questions immediately and kept us informed of their progress.
Rene is a great professional expert of flooring. His work was detailed with care. He helped us repair newly installed floor. After searching a few advices, I found JRP flooring is the best- the suggestion they gave and the result is super! Highly recommended!
Hiring Rene and his team was one of the best decisions I’ve made. They’re exceptionally skilled at what they do. After I explained that I wanted to remove a floorboard to install a larger, flush-mounted floor vent, Rene immediately understood the scope of the job and was ready to take it on. His confidence and expertise made me feel reassured from the start. Another task I had was to replace a floorboard that had a visible seam I wasn’t happy with. The previous installer didn’t have the skill to do it properly, but when I brought it up to Rene, he asked if I wanted it fixed—he said he could do it, and I agreed. Sure enough, they delivered exactly what I hoped for. I was also very happy with how much attention they paid to the details—something that's extremely important to me. They clearly understood that as well. One thing I especially appreciated was how the floorboards used to have noticeable gaps between them, but after Rene and his team were done, those gaps were gone and the connections between the boards were much tighter and cleaner. They went beyond my expectations in every way. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Their work ethic is outstanding, which is rare to find these days. I’ll definitely be keeping Rene and his team in my go-to list for any future projects.
We made a call to ask about a floor that lifts with air pockets when vent is on. As a FT homeowner, we are quite nervous on the issue. Rene responded quickly and then identified the problem right away (a blocked air vent). He came in promptly and able to do a repair (cutting through the floor to expose the vent). He has all the tools and skills. Area was left clean. Looking into getting him again for future projects. Highly recommend his service.
Highly recommend JRP Flooring Inc for anyone looking to refinish hardwood floors. You will be amazed by the outcome. He is a hidden gem, and you will be so happy that you hired him. We had a fantastic experience working with Rene at JRP Flooring Inc. My girlfriend and I moved into a home with painted hardwood flooring, and we naively tried to restore the floor ourselves and quickly realized we were in way over our heads. Enter Rene. He was a total lifesaver. He was incredibly responsive, reliable, professional, efficient, and kind. He came the SAME DAY we contacted him and finished the job in just two days. He arrived on time and prepared. He also left our space clean and dust-free throughout the process. Rene communicated his process to us and kept us updated along the way, so we never had any questions or doubts. His pricing is very fair and the results exceeded our expectations. We went from having ugly white painted flooring, to stunning real hardwood flooring in just TWO DAYS.
Highly recommend for repair of small water-damaged area of engineered hardwood floor. Replaced with two pieces. We knew color would be difficult to match but it is a huge improvement.
On time, professional, left everything clean and tidy. There was more damage under the fridge that I didn’t know about that was also corrected. I highly recommend.
