About J's Music Studio LLC
I have been teaching cello for over 10 years. My students range from beginners to very advanced players between the ages of 6 and 60. I specialize in preparing students for auditions and competitions, and I love sharing the art of music making and cello playing with whoever is interested and is willing to commit.
Reviews
“My son has taken cello lessons from Jiamo Chen since fall of 2018, and we could not ask for a better teacher. Jiamo is a very positive and patient teacher, consistent in giving positive feedback while challenging his students to improve their skills. The first year of lessons he spent much of the lesson time correcting posture and bowing, something foundational to any student who intends to pursue their instrument seriously. Jiamo also introduces his students to a wide repertoire of music, and he provides many opportunities for them to showcase the music they are learning.”
