Chef James provided an incredible and truly memorable intimate dinner for our mom’s 70th birthday! From start to finish, he was responsive, accommodating, and collaborative, making the entire experience completely seamless. We were staying in a rental house with a kitchen that had very limited supplies, but James came fully prepared and brought everything he needed. We genuinely didn’t have to worry about a thing, which made it so easy for us to relax and enjoy the evening together. And, of course, the food was absolutely incredible! Every course was delicious, beautifully prepared, and enjoyed by everyone. There wasn’t a single bite we didn’t love—and we were all very happy to enjoy the leftovers the next day! We highly recommend Chef James for anyone looking for a private chef experience. He made our mom’s birthday extra special, and we would absolutely book him again!

This experience was absolutely perfect for my sisters 40th birthday. Communication was on point. We were able to pick our curated menu from a vast variety of options and the food was absolutely out of this world. Service was incredible and Mark went into so much detail explaining where all the fresh ingredients were from. James and Mark created an atmosphere that was professional and relaxed so we could spend our time with each other. Do yourself a favor and hire them right now!
James was thoughtful, professional, and accommodating at all points in the process. The food and presentation was exceptional and the service went above and beyond what I was expecting. They made a huge positive impression on me and all our guests - and I had some real foodies in the crowd who had only great things to say. Our group hired Chef Antonio for a bachelor party and he was amazing! He was very responsive and worked with us on catering a menu that would suit everyone based on their allergies and spice tolerances. He took the time to sit down and call to plan out the menu. His tiramisu was one of the best ones we’ve ever had! Would highly recommend for any event that you want to make special!
We hired James for our Mom’s 60th Birthday. First of all the food was delicious, everything we ate we were sooooooooo happy with. The food was fresh and flavorful. James and his asssistant not only cooked and served us but also cleaned up the entire kitchen stove and vaccumed. This was worth it all. Food was 10\10 and service was great. We are planning to use them again. You have to book him!!!
I collaborated with JW Events for a milestone birthday dinner. My goal of the dinner was to have a private and specialized curated dinner experience for my guests and I. I started planning two months in advance, so I was able to coordinate with James as we got closer to the event date. James was always responsive, professional and extremely kind in his interactions with me. Truly felt like I was partnering with someone who was just as excited about my birthday dinner as I was. James created a menu based on my cuisine of choice and provided me with some great options to select from. When I asked for some modifications to the menu items, he accommodated which showed his flexibility and collaborative spirit! James rose to the occasion in every way, even accommodating a date change as a result of venue availability. This was extremely helpful since I was nervous I would have to find another chef for the date, which was not needed thankfully. The night of the event, James and his staff showed up on time and started getting ready as soon as they got there. The venue's elevator was small and despite all the items they had, they were able to maneuver successfully without any assistance from myself. The staff was gracious in helping me set the table based on the vision I had in my head and utilized the venue space really well. The actual dinner and drinks were amazing! I was blown away by the presentation of the canapés and drinks. My favorite meal was the Mexican street corn salad, with the edible flowers *chef's kiss* The overall meal and experience was 10/10. James and his staff were sociable with myself and the guest, which is such a nice add given how busy they were providing a service for the event. They also worked extremely well with the venue staff. The entire night was beyond my expectations! I would recommend JW Events to friends and other Thumbtack customers.
Chef James worked with us on very short notice to create a perfect Tapas menu and was able to create numerous exceptional dishes onboard a sailing charter for our micro wedding . Both the food and service were impeccable. I can’t thank them enough for working together with our other vendors seamlessly to create such an amazing event.
Liberty street events were amazing. I live in Atlanta, Georgia and they worked with me and help me surprise my best friend for his birthday who lives in cliffside park NJ. James and his crew really deliver beyond my expectations. Not to mention that cake from their sister company is to die for.
I can’t say enough good things about James. I’ll try to make this short and sweet. Chef James was able to squeeze me in with just 3 day notice. I sent him some different type of dishes I like and he came up with an amazing menu for the evening. He showed up an hour and half before anyone else did to start prepping. The quality of food the man put out was second to none! The flavor that the food had I was literally stunned. Not only did he do an amazing job with the food his assistant mark was by far one of the most attentive servers I ever had the pleasure to deal with. They left my kitchen exactly how it was before they started to cook. I couldn’t believe how clean everything was once they were finished. Don’t waste your time looking for other chef James is your guy! I’m literally thinking of the next event so I could hire James again. James and mark thank you guys for an phenomenal experience.
James was a professional serving our 15+ family for Thanksgiving. He was easy to work with on the menu selection and provided outstanding service during our event. The quality of the food was excellent. Our guests all had positive feedback and would recommend JW Events to anyone.
