I researched several contractors and KM Builders was the one I selected. They were outstanding! From the initial first quote, the customer service and contractor I was very pleased with their professionalism. The work was completed in one day and they performed exactly what we discussed. Great job! I highly recommend this company.

Came to our home waited an hour of our time to never send an estimate!..
They discriminated against my dad who doesn’t have the perfect English as a first generation immigrant. Telling me it was a waste of my time when I was not able to be there. I know my dad’s English is skill is limited, he can communicate well through it. If it’s hard to communicate nowadays, there is so much online resources such as google translation and chatgpt to make an effort to communicate. They just called me after the interaction with my dad and said it’s a waste of time, and they were really mean.
Worked out issues
They were the first and only to provide a written and reasonable estimate for some work we need done, although we did not start the work yet i would totally recommend to call them as they are cordial, professional and seem fair, they are available to start work right away
The KM GC came to my house to bid a bathroom remodel. I was quoted an extremely high number on site, and then told this # was a great deal because of 'a special' they were running at that time, and I had to give an answer/sign a contract on the spot right then in order to lock in the rate. I did not sign or give an answer. I reached back out to the GC about a week or two later to see what the best number they could do was, since the initial # was so far outside of my budget. They gave me a new number that was about 25% lower and again, were only able to guarantee the number if I signed that day. The way their person who came to bid the project handled it on the day, and on follow ups put a very bad taste in my mouth and I'm hoping this isn't how the company normally does business. Be wary when getting quotes and DO NOT SIGN ON THE SPOT. Do your homework. Get multiple bids and take time to make a decision.
KM Builders did a great job on our paver patio. The space was a very irregular shape due to an old concrete drainage canal and their team expertly shaped the pavers to follow the irregular curve. I was also very concerned with angling the pavers away from the house for drainage and they did it perfectly. The grading is so slight you can’t even tell, but the rain rolls directly away from our foundation. Finally, the wrong pavers delivered for the project and when I told them, they immediately had them picked up and replaced, no questions asked. Great work! Great customer service!
KM Builders did a great job repairing our electronic driveway gate. We would highly recommend this company to anyone.
No Follow- No show
They were no show for a scheduled appt that I came home for, then asked if I had other bids…why would that matter? They also had the scope of the job wrong.
Had a good experience with KM Builders up until contract time on our project. I initially felt collaborative in the process and we got to an agreement on scope and price. But when it came time to finalizing the contract details, I was pressured to made a decision by a certain time of day or else the price increased. Additionally, the project manager wouldn't agree to a payment schedule on completed work. Sad to see that the relationship broke down due to these two issues. I tried to follow up with their main office but to date, have not received an explanation.
I had the project manager come out and give me an estimate on something I wanted him to do. He said the project would be 2 phases. Demolition and reconstruction. For each phase, he quoted me $1000 hence the full quote for the project was $2000. He wrote all of this on paper and showed it to me. He also said that the minimum his company charges is $3,500 but the price was lower because he had a job not too far away from my home so it was beneficial for me. He was going to email me the quote. I reached out to this company 2-3 times because the project manager never sent me the quote. Grant it, these are COVID times and people are getting sick so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Finally, he reaches out to me and tell me he is going to send the quote. Once I received it, to my astonishment, $5,895. Well over double of the quote he gave me. I don’t like when people try to take advantage of others so I will not be moving forward with them.
KM Builders delivered everything that they said they would, plus several significant extras. Most of the extras they provided at THEIR cost! Most importantly, the workmanship was top drawer, as was their communication and follow up.
KM Builders showed up on time and provided me with the detailed estimate that I was looking for. They followed up with me to make sure I understood the estimate and was there to answer any questions I have. When I am ready to complete the project I will definitely hire them to do the work.
It’s truly been a great experience working with KM Builders. We are having a lot of work done and am more than pleased with the work thus far. The project manager Ken is very knowledgeable, communicative, and on time. As with any project, there are hiccups, luckily ours have been small, but he’s been great at managing them with us. Home remodels are expensive in general , but Ken works with you to keep the project going on the right track, on time, and on budget. I’ll update my post with pictures as soon as the work is complete! So excited.
Very helpfull.
