Hi, I'm Karen and I am a Creative Director turned Freelance Branding Specialist and Graphic Designer. I feel rewarded doing what I do best, designing identities for everyone! Effective logos are so important for a successful business. I get a real thrill out of introducing new companies to the public. Having worked with the biggest and the smallest clients, I know that there is no difference in the passion that they exude. I love my work and take great care to watch out for the tiniest details. And I can communicate! But to be clear... I will take on any project on any platform, big or small with joy and fun for us both in the process. I will meet all deadlines (in fact am usually early) while providing the highest quality of designs for your needs. I am 24/7 customer support ready to answer any questions during the design process. I can design logos in my sleep! And I never ever use templates to speed the process. Time is so irrelevant when you are working on the computer, that sometimes I look up and I have been working three hours on a job I estimated for 1 hour.. But it's ok. That is my gift to you.

I hired KMS Design to create a 10-slide PowerPoint presentation. I provided the content and the original slides, requesting a design update and the addition of animations. She assured me she could fulfill this request, so I promptly paid a $125 deposit. Unfortunately she was unable to fullfill the request due to my new timeline but she immediately alerted me and refunded my deposit. Thank you,
Karen started off pleasant, but then provided 77 year old Mom with negative experience for a celebratory project. Helping a non tech savvy senior can absolutely be challenging, but she also definitely exacerbated the challenge with her dismissive demeanor, tone, and by not honoring specific requests. I had to facilitate a few items between my mom and Karen and the curt tone and multiple exclamation points I received when reaching out for clarification were not deserved or appreciated. To get a flavor of the tone and demeanor, check the rebuttals on the low rated reviews. Just FYI, if you feel compelled to respond, the polished response should be something along the lines of: “Thank you for the feedback, I am sorry the experience working with me did not meet your expectations”. The defensive rebuttals actually underscore the negative feedback and amplify the validity of the comments,; take note of the interactions and proceed with caution. The project was completed, but charged $350 for a PowerPoint peppered with spelling errors and typos, which is disappointing and unexpected when paying for professional design services. I use Thumbtack often for a number of projects and have never had a less than stellar experience until now.
This has been my first experience working with a graphic design professional and Karen has set the bar EXTREMELY high. Karen takes the time to understand your project goals and the broader image, vibe, message, etc... you want communicated. From our initial conversation, Karen has felt more like a vested partner than a contracted professional. She has delivered everything asked, ahead of schedule and with quality that has exceeded expectations. What more could you want? I'll definitely be leveraging Karen's talents again, do yourself and your business a favor and work with her on your next project!!!

I had a very unique request where I wanted to replicate the look of classic album cover art from the 1950’s-1970’s for a family project. Karen not only understand what I wanted, but was very enthusiastic and extremely helpful. She had many great ideas and was quite open to my suggestions. Everything turned out great and it’s going to be a wonderful surprise for my sister! This was the first time I’ve ever worked with a graphic artist, and Karen made it a very fun and positive experience! Would definitely recommend!
