About Leon deVose

I am a solo saxophonist. I work with professionally mixed tracks of standards and original music. My music is original, my style is engaging, my presence is entertaining. While I have learned so much from studying the masters like Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington and others, my work represents me. You can hear influences of funk, Latin jazz, Be-Bop, R&B, Pop, Rock and even classical, However, you hear them in emulation, not imitation. They are the building blocks of my musical expression, each one in its place, illustrating a beautiful mosaic of colors in sound. My performance philosophy is simple. Regardless of the price of admission, the audience is there to experience something that is beautiful, engaging and fun. There is no difference between your experience in the orchestra, balcony or park bench. You should know that I have given you all that I could in the performance. i am doing what I love. What I love most about what I am doing is that as I build my library of original work, it is very likely that my work will continue to brighten people's lives long after I have breathed my last note.
