Hi, my name is June. I am a full-time tutor. I have over 20 years of experience as a classroom instructor and as an online tutor in various subjects. I am very patient and work well with children and adult students as well. I have a Master's degree in Psychology. I use principles of human’s learning behavior, cognitive process, and memory mechanism in teaching and creating a curriculum. My teaching style depends on the student. In other words, I change my teaching techniques to fit the level and personality of each student. I enjoy teaching. She is a warm and patient tutor, which is much appreciated when one is struggling with a new language. June has been great for my 14yo freshman that was struggling in Honors Geometry. She was failing and felt she was not getting the help she needed in class from her teacher. 🌸✨ Uwahhh!! Where do I even start?! ✨🌸 I absolutely adore June ^_^ <3 From the very beginning, her lessons felt special, valuable, and tailored exactly to what I needed. We speak Japanese throughout our lessons (which I love!), and she always checks in to make sure the learning style and focus are working for me. Having taught music for 13yrs+, I know the value of a flexible and compassionate teacher. Out of all the teachers I tried, June really stood out. She offers opportunities to talk with others who are fluent in Japanese, and will mediate if there's any miss understandings (which I think is a huge perk!). Even after becoming fluent she helps you maintain fluency =D She has an excellent grasp of English as well, which makes it so much easier to dive into nuanced or complex discussions about grammar, culture, or even abstract ideas. She’s very thorough, wonderfully responsive, and always creates a safe, encouraging space for growth. My goal is to speak fluent Japanese before my trip next year. June and I meet twice a week for an hour at a time. If I could meet with her daily, I absolutely would! I've been able to add Japanese now in my songwriting and it's the COOLEST thing ever! Not only is June a Japanese native speaker, she is also very professional, youthful, compassionate, thorough and flexible. 100% recommend!!!
Sensei June is AMAZING! She is patient, sweet, very diligent, organized and always listens to your concerns. I recommend her 1000% I am learning Japanese faster than I expected it. If you take her classes you won’t be disappointed.

June was very flexible and adaptable to what the students needed on a weekly basis in the learning process. She frequently asked for feedback and if there were any questions to ensure that the kids understood the material before moving on. The introduction of new/more challenging material while reviewing previous material was perfect for my students! She was also great at encouraging some of my more introverted teen students to contribute to the conversation :).
June-sensei has provided me a very flexible, adaptable way of learning Japanese that helps me make the progress I was yearning for. Her solid grasp on both English and Japanese makes it very easy to understand her and communicate. I am also certain she has all the knowledge and care to assist beginners along their journey and bolster their confidence in the language. Learning from her has always been a very pleasant experience.

Working with June was a great experience for me. I haven’t taken a math course in over 15 years and she was able to teach me concepts of math that I had forgotten over the years. She is great at explaining the rules and is very patient. I definitely recommend her as a tutor.
