Vernon came up with a good solution for dealing with a fence gate that was getting stuck. Work quality was good. He also suggested other work around my homes exterior, More timely communication when he had to reschedule the work would be helpful.

Lester was vet responsive in less than 24 hours. He hauled all of my junk away in a 16ft trailer, loaded and hauled away in less than an hour. Great Work!1 You should DEFINITELY hire Lester.

Lester’s Home Improvements arrived on time and the crew worked really fast. They were tremendously helpful and I could tell they really cared about the job. I hired Lester’s to clear out my garage, two rooms, and my living room. They did a great job!
Work was completed quickly when i realized they had done work for me in the past, we talked about future projects!
Managed to paint my entire fence in just a few hours. Should have hired them months ago.
He said that he would be by around 8 to 9 am to give me a quote. No call no show.
I choose all 5 categories of not only work quality, responsiveness and value but professionalism and punctuality! I needed a fence enclosed across the back of the property for my new home. Lester's Home Improvement.. owner Vernon was quick to respond via Thumbtack which I found on Redfin. He went by before I even moved in and gave a quote. I am so pleased with Vernon & his crew for excellent work. The guys are so friendly and I felt confident in my choice as a new resident to have a company to call on when I need anything done. I could see from photos of completed jobs that LHI was a good choice. My yard looks great now because the crew trimmed back brush and installed a gate for me to have access to the back of my property, when needed. Thanks, Vernon and Crew! You guys do quality work and super efficient/timely in getting it done for me and my pets are very happy! 5 Stars all the way ~ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lester is charming and warm, which we now know is a front to get the job. We hired Lester to build a fence and install a range vent. First, he lied about his crew’s licensing. One of them admitted this. Second, his crew stomped a/c tubing in the attic and didn’t tell us. We have to live with the resulting mildew and leak until Fall when a crew can work in attic. Third, Lester showed up to build the fence without proper equipment. The machine he used to cut the two by fours was so dull it splintered the wood like crazy. Fourth, much of the work was not measured and it shows. The cuts were sloppy and lazy and uneven. Not enough screws were used to properly secure the wood. Both gates began sagging the day they were created and installed and will now barely open. He told us his wife saw pictures and told him he couldn’t leave the gates like that! He left them like that. First 3 photos taken right after being built. Fifth, he never returned to finish the job after scheduling a date, twice. Sixth, after lying to us repeatedly, he never even pulled the permit to build the fence. He said he had it, but never produced it. We called the county and no such permit exists. We hired Lester based on his reviews here. Something doesn’t add up. I would check your permits and don’t let his constantly changing stream of questionable characters in your home. We trusted this person and his crew in our home with just me and my daughter at home. Scary. He showed me pictures of his new child and talked about volunteering for storm clean up, etc. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and a shame to his profession. We intend to call the Better Business Bureau and pursue all available options. This shouldn’t be happening to people.
Good experience will reach out to them for future work
Needed a pretty decent amount of dirt removed from my backyard that was leftover from a DIY project my wife and I did. Lesters home improvements not only removed that dirt for me but I was expeditiously removed at that. Thanks.
excellent choice in the area
built a 6 ft wooden privacy shadowbox fence in my back yard, quick with quote and response to my call. completed the fence in two weeks and looks great, all fence is straight and need, all gates work well and would hire again for any handyman jobs needed.
Excellent job installing a large ceiling fan on a 24ft downrod. Made sure he had the right equipment to complete the job, showed up on time, was polite and efficient. Will use again!
Vernon and his crew did an exceptional job on our landscaping. He took before pictures, provided a detailed estimate, provided us with keen insight (since we live out of state), made accurate recommendations, and completed all the work in a timely manner. He then took detailed pictures of the completed work. We had a few places that we asked Vernon to come back to make some further trimmings on the bushes, he came back and took care of it without any fuss. He not only cleaned up the property, he even fixed our gate at no additional charge. I would highly recommend Vernon Lester for anyone who is doing landscaping. We are considering hiring him and his crew to complete additional remodeling on our home (interior painting, tile, counter tops). He is very conscientious and professional.
