Andrea was wonderful from planning to execution. I heard rave reviews from my manager and her husband who I planned the event for. The food, set up, clean up, everything was on point. I wanted to do something really special for my mom's 90th birthday. i reached out to family and friends in Kansas City, who made recommendations on who would be best to use as far as catering, etc. i tried contacting two of these recommended businesses. One never returned my call and the other was booked. i didn't know what to do , but I had seen an advertisement for thumbtack , so I thought I'd give it a try. i found three businesses. Lifted Events was one of the three. i looked at the work they did on facebook and immediately contacted them. From the beginning , I was encouraged by the conversation I had with Andrea. she was patient with me and when I gave her my vision and color palette , she did not hesitate to send me examples of what could be done, pricing, etc. when I told her it was a bit over budget for me.She tried her best to work with me. i ended up going over budget anyway , just because what she offered was so amazing!!! i met andrea and her staff for the first time at the venue that she helped me find , by the way, on september 19, the day of the party. she was busy working to build the backdrop for the theme of the party. She was welcoming and warm, and everything turned out so beautifully. she and her staff were so professional and friendly. everything went smoothly from the backdrop to the catering to the cleanup afterwards. i received so many compliments on the decor and food. My mom was thoroughly surprised and never stopped smiling the entire time we were there. The joy my mom experienced was worth every dollar spent. I highly recommend this business. i believe that we were divinely connected, and I 'm totally grateful. I would use lifted events again and again and again without hesitation! because I spent the majority of my time hosting and making sure everyone was okay.I don't have a lot of pictures , but I can get more and add them!! Lifted Events is 100% a five star businesses, in every way!

Andrea was professional with her response of concern regarding the design of my request with verbal conversation. She provided details of balloon types to coordinate with other moms who were also participants in the team banquet design. She was timely and made sure setup was as wanted! The bowling pin was the highlight of the banquet!

While Andrea was very easy to work with and two out of the three decorations looked fantastic, we did run into a few issues during the process. Inclement weather moved in, and we asked if she could set up the decorations the day before our event. She said no and suggested we “play it out” the day of. She does have a no-refund policy, even for weather-related issues, so that’s something to be aware of. Later, she reached back out and said she could come the night before to install the decorations. At that time, we were told the balloons typically last around 30 days in case we needed to postpone due to weather. The downstairs decorations and island installation held up beautifully. However, the balloons over the arch by our entryway began drooping later that night and were completely on the ground by the next morning. Additionally, the arch installation was not the correct length. Andrea stated that we had provided the wrong measurements for both the island and the arch; however, after reviewing our messages, we did send the correct measurements, and it appears they were mixed up. When we contacted Andrea about the fallen arch, she was snowed in and couldn’t come fix it (which is completely understandable). We requested a refund, but she stated the piece was still usable—despite not leaving any supplies or instructions on how to reapply it. She did refund the installation fee, but we were still out $85 for balloons that do not cost that much. We also noticed pet hair on the balloons and had to do additional cleaning ourselves before the event. She later sent a YouTube video showing how she installs her balloons, including versions where reinforcement is used. Reinforcement was not used in our installation. While we were still able to proceed with the event, the “usable” piece had to sit awkwardly against a wall. Overall, while her work is pretty, it felt overpriced and didn’t last as expected. I appreciate the refund of the installation fee, but it was concerning how the messaging went from “these should last 30 days” to “temperature changes and shifting can cause them to fall.”
