I’ve been tutoring for over 28 years and work with students across the country. My business is based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and if you’re more than 15 miles away, we’ll meet online via Zoom or FaceTime. Over 90% of my students are outside Florida, so remote sessions are a proven option. I tutor students from grade 6 and above. My specialty is with adults returning to school after 10 or more years beingout of school. I provide highly personalized tutoring, choosing methods that fit each student’s learning style so they can truly understand the material and gain confidence. Rates (per hour): • SAT / ACT: $80 • GRE / GMAT: $80 • GED: $65 • Statistics and Algebra: $70 You pay as you go—no long-term contracts. I tutor statistics, all high school math, and standardized test prep. I do not tutor computer courses, accounting, or calculus. I did not know what to expect while searching for a tutor online, but I could not be more happy than with Mr. Slurzberg. He is a gem! He is knowledgeable, kind, and unique in his approach to teaching math. For the first time in my daughter‘s life, she enjoys and understands what she is learning. She is actually excited when it is time for her to meet with him. I could not have imagined this outcome. We are truly so happy that he is working with her. She’s a ninth grader and they’re focusing on algebra.
I had a few tutoring sessions using my CLEP College Algebra materials. He was knowledgeable, patient, and walked through the problems step‑by‑step. It was a solid review session for the time we spent.
After only one session, Bob has helped me learn basic statistics and has helped me gain the confidence needed to successfully complete this coursework. Bob is a wealth of knowledge and can translate the information in a way that is easy to understand. I look forward to working with him over the course of the next five weeks to finish out this class!
Mr.Slurzberg is amazing at what he does. I’ve gained both confidence and a deeper understanding of fast and efficient problem-solving strategies. Bob was excellent in both statistics and his help in preparation for my Ph.D. dissertation. He is very knowledgable of what is needed for the defense of a disseration as well as what parts should be focused on to increase chances for success.

I contacted Thumbtack on Monday needing a tutor for my wife who is taking the GRE's on Saturday. Within 5 minutes of my request, Bob called within 5 minutes and we were setting up a schedule for the week. We have a 3 year old daughter and Bob was more than happy to have our daughter at his house and take advantage of his grandkids toys. I worked with Bob while studying for the GRE. When we started, I stated that my goals were too improve the my speed and approach the problems more strategically. Bob was able to take this information and tailor our sessions to focus on tactics that would help accomplish my goals.
