We had a hole in our popcorn ceiling from a small leak in our bathroom maybe about 6-7 inches in diameter. The handyman that came out did the worst drywall repair job I have ever seen. He did not trim off the water damaged drywall surrounding the hole but instead attempted to just patch it by hanging a fitted piece of drywall from a 2x4 placed in the ceiling. He did not screw the 2x4 into the surrounding ceiling but just set it inside, and only used one screw to attach his drywall patch to his price of drywall so it was not sturdy to begin with. He then used so much drywall tape and putty on the patch that the entire thing sagged terribly. Instead of using popcorn texture to match the rest of the popcorn ceiling he attempted to make the putty look like popcorn ceiling. Some of the putty was probably an inch thick. I ended up fixing his horrible patch by watching YouTube videos, going to Home Depot and purchasing the necessary supplies, and working on it for 3 hours after already working all day. How can this man call himself a handyman if I can do a better job myself after watching YouTube tutorials?! The picture doesn’t come close to showing how bad it was.

Mak Services replaced our rotted porch columns. We ordered the columns from Randall Bros Marietta. Kristina promptly replied on Thumbtack with a fair estimate and made appointment for the work within 2 days. Miguel and Rubin came on time as arranged to pick up the columns from the supplier, transported them to our townhouse, took out the old rotted columns, put up the new ones, secured them, replaced the vinyl ceiling covers, caulked and painted the columns, good as new. High mark for responsiveness, communication, promptness, fair pricing, professionalism, quality of work and services delivered as promised.
