My old outdoor/detached garage had a leak through the ceiling. I contacted multiple contractors. Doug was among them, came out to do inspect and provided a free estimate and quote. While the price was not the cheapest, he did provide a reasonable quote with a long term fix that I preferred. His work included removing all the existing vines and debris, scraping any loose tar, cleaning and pressure washing, sealing existing cracks and then finishing with a silicon coating. The ceiling looks great and it's holding up well. I was out of town through all this, but we communicated all through the Thumbtack messaging system and got this done over a few weeks (mostly waiting on materials to arrive). Everything seems great and he was very professional. I recommend him.
Douglas was absolutely fantastic- reliable, responsive and so hard working- showing up and working hard all day every day through the worst days of the awful heat wave and extreme humidity! He patiently took time to answer our many questions, explained a few options and was able to envision exactly what we wanted. He completed the work timely and at a better price than others who quoted the work. Our walk and house entrance, steps, porch and columns look great. We couldn’t more pleased! Had a great experience with Douglas! Our concrete front stairs were battered by the hard winter ice and salt the last two years and we tried to "cheap out" by having the fix done first by our painter one year; and when that failed, a general handyman the next. What a difference to work with Douglas on a fix that hopefully will last for many years. He really is a Master stone mason!

Douglas was quick to respond to my request, came by to evaluate the project and talk with me about it. We decided on a plan, but when it was out of my budget, Douglas worked with me to find a solution that would work. He is a skilled mason, who knows foundations, stonework materials and is extremely professional. He is punctual and extremely clean in his work style. Douglas solved my basement flooding issue with a creative and cheap workaround - building a long gutter extension. It’s not the most pretty looking thing but it works! I got cited thousands of dollars by other companies for full waterproofing (French drain etc) but I didn’t need it in this case. I paid $600 and happy to report I didn’t have a flooding since. Thank you!
