Matt is very knowledgeable
Matt was excellent at bringing a knowledgable and professional approach to addressing our wifi network issues, and getting the TV wifi operating. He went the extra mile. I saw that he has high integrity and does the job the right way. He was generous in his approach which allowed me to learn as we went through the process. Put him in the contacts and will use again. Strong educational training clearly makes a difference.
Matt is a well intentioned guy who is likely new at this. He doesn't have a lot of experience or reviews on the platform. I wish for Matt to be more upfront about his insurance or lack of it, skillset, and true experience with networking and wiring. Matt in all good intentions signed up for something he didn't have a lot of experience with and ended up causing some damage to my property. He got worried about the damage and got defensive, which is expected for these side hustle kinda gigs on Thumbstack. He did waive like half of the cost (charged me $100 instead of $180), even though the cost of repair of the damage ended up costing much higher. This was my third time using the app, so I didn't really go through all the reviews or more importantly the number of reviews. Lessons learned. I wish him all the best for the future.
Matt went beyond and bought extra supplies to bump my internet speed 10x! He is super responsive and able to get things done in one visit. I would definitely ask Matt if I have any new problems in the future.
I asked Matt to replace the thermal paste that bonds my CPU chip to its heat sink -- the PC fan was coming on too often, and I guessed that after 6 years, the maintenance was due. Matt did this (and sent photos, too!), and along the way reported that the GPU may need the same treatment. He also identified and fixed a very dirty fan and a bad connection for the track pad. All in all, the repairs were quick and well executed, and he charged a fair price. This PC should run for years more. I'm very happy to have found Matt, and will not hesitate to call on him again when I need more help. Also, he has discounts on useful software ... be sure to ask.
Matt stayed in communication with us. He is installed our new WiFi signal boosters & helped us decide where to put them. He was friendly & professional and did the work in a timely manner. We will use his services again.
Matt was on time, and first checked the wiring on my ceiling fan. He went above and beyond by going to not one but two Home Depot locations to find the right type of fan we wanted. He picked out a beautiful fan that even matches the furniture in the room.
