I had a long list of things I needed done around my house. I had called Ian from McIntosh Designs, which I found on-line. I set up an appointment with him. He was very punctual, capable and friendly. He had taken down my old screen door and put up a new one. His quality of workmanship was great! He also repaired several other fixes I needed in my house. He was very kind and professional. His prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend McIntosh Designs if you need a Handy man. CALL HIM FIRST, you won’t regret it!
Very friendly. Great customer service. However, I wish it would have been disclosed that my project was something he wasn’t very skilled at/ was new to him. It was very clear from the beginning that he didn’t know what he was doing. I’m all for supporting small business, but I do expect to get what I’m paying for. Unfortunately I’m now having to redo/finish what wasn’t correct.(large gaps or mismatched joints in my crown moulding). I also don’t agree with being charged a fee simply because he found my project on thumbtack. I believe that is a business expense and should be treated as such.
