I reached out for work on a vacant rental property and was told they would not provide a consultation unless the homeowner was physically present. That policy makes them unsuitable for remote landlords or owners of vacant properties. I was disappointed they were unwilling to accommodate a lockbox/access arrangement.
Terrible experience. We didn’t get 15 minutes into our conversation before I told the PM that we would not be able to work together and walked him to the door. Can’t hire someone who talks over you and completely ignores the wife. Arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful.
Bombarded me with 3 phone calls and 3 messages in less than an hour while I was at work. I've had ex-girlfriends that harass me less. What an immediate turn off especially on a website with so many other choices.

I met with a contractor from Metroplex Pro Builders for a renovation quote, accompanied by my Realtor, as I was prepared to move forward with purchasing the property. Despite providing a detailed list of requested work, the contractor was dismissive, shut down my renovation plans, and refused to provide an estimate. At the end of the meeting, he questioned whether I owned the property and, when told I did not yet own it and that my Realtor was present for that reason, he became visibly upset and complained about having driven to the location. I had already met with two other contractors under the same circumstances without any issue, which made this interaction stand out as particularly unprofessional. I would not recommend this company. They missed the morning appointment but showed up for the rescheduled afternoon appointment. It was a thorough 2 hour presentation. I received a handwritten estimate and was insistent that I sign before he left. I said I wanted to think it over and compare other estimates. He said he was not going to leave until I signed. I said OK. Guest room is available. Then my wife politely told him that her husband had said no and did he not understand that. The otherwise nice Canadian-Israeli young man then packed his samples and computer and left. Since them I have hound another company that is 30% cheaper than them and another company almost 50% cheaper than them. If you have money to burn use them.

It was way too high pressure sales pitch for me. You can't pitch me over $20K for a roof and expect me to sign a contract the same day I met you. He also tried to get me to fill out the credit application even before he quoted me a price. It was a bit of a car dealership like experience, where Avi called his manager to see if he could get a better price and see if how long he could "hold" the price. I told Avi that I accepted if the price wasn't available when I was ready to make a decision and that I don't take large financial decisions lightly. My main complaint, other than the high pressure pitch, however, was that Avi lied to me about the type and quality of materials. For the roof, he pitched to me GAF brand HDX shingles that you can get at Home Depot and 30lb felt paper. I asked numerous times if the shingles were Class 4 and he repeatedly told me yes and that they were the best I could get. After doing my research, I found that neither of those things were true. HDX is class 3, not the best you can get, and nobody but nobody uses felt paper anymore. I texted Avi and told him I was going to cancel our next appointment (which he had me set as part of his high pressure close) and the reason for canceling - because he either lied or didn't know his materials, either of which was a dealbreaker. He didn't even respond to my cancelation text.

Metroplex did an amazing job! I feel like we have a brand new house. We had our master bath, guest bath, all of the trim and walls redone. We also had new flooring installed and several custom bookcases. We could not be happier with the results
I hired them after sever weather damage because they promised to make it all ok and said they’d work with insurance. Not only did they do none of that, they wouldn’t even provide a proper itemized invoice which insurance would accept. The work was very sloppy. They missed significant issues that ended up being very costly. I also paid another company to repair their work. They do have a warranty but I wouldn’t let them in my home again if they paid me. You can see from the photo the quality of work. These are standard shingles that should lay straight, and instead the lines are wavy because they didn’t properly repair the issues underneath before roofing. Had to have all their work ripped out and redone. Avoid at all costs.
