Hi, I’m Jenny! Before starting my own business, I worked as an Environmental Health Specialist for Walworth County HHS. Over the years, I received a lot of calls from residents who were struggling with things in their homes like mold, clutter, pests, sanitation issues, and just general situations that had become overwhelming. Some of the hardest calls came from elderly residents who needed help but did not always have the ability or resources to get their homes back to a comfortable place. The frustrating part for me was that I could offer information and guidance, but there was only so much I could actually do. I often wished I could just show up, roll up my sleeves, and help. So I decided to do exactly that. That is really where Midwest Aloha Cleaning came from. I wanted to provide the kind of 1:1, hands-on help that I had wished I could offer people in my previous job. I lived and worked in Maui for a while after college, and I fell in love with the sense of peace and love (or “aloha”) I found there. When I decided to build a business around helping people, I wanted to bring a little of that kindness, warmth, and peace not only to the business name and values, but to clients and their homes. I know there are a lot of cleaning companies out there to choose from. What I do bring is a background in environmental health, experience with all kinds of homes and situations, and a willingness to tackle the jobs that might make someone else say, “Nope.” I am a solo cleaner, which means when you hire me, you get me. I can take the time to get to know my clients, pay attention to the details, and work with people who may need something a little different than a standard house cleaning. I can also keep my rates reasonable and flexible to the client’s budget because I do not have a large operation or a bunch of overhead to support. My goal is to help local families, busy households, older adults, and anyone who could use an extra set of hands feel better about the place they call home. Sometimes that means regular cleaning. Sometimes it means tackling a house that has gotten a little out of control. And sometimes it simply means helping someone get to a point where their home feels manageable again.
