About Minnesota Standard
When you hire Minnesota Standard, you're not just hiring an electrician. You're hiring neighbors who care deeply about earning your trust, doing work we're proud to stand behind, and building a company that serves our community well for years to come. We're a local, family-owned electrical contractor serving the northeast Twin Cities with a simple mission: to set a new standard for what homeowners should expect from a service company. That means showing up when we say we will, communicating clearly, treating your home with respect, and doing the work right—without cutting corners or selling you something you don't need. Whether it's troubleshooting a frustrating electrical issue, upgrading a panel, installing an EV charger, or wiring a remodel, we take the time to explain your options so you can make informed decisions with confidence. We believe education should come before sales, honesty should come before profit, and quality craftsmanship should never be optional.

Andrew helped us in Mahtomedi. He helped replace a broken light fixture and replace fans. Super professional, knowledgeable and all around just a comfortable experience. He was not overpriced and they are very responsive to messages.
Justin did a great job finding the outlet that was causing my breaker issue. Communication was excellent throughout, and I really appreciated his help. Highly recommend! Fair price! Awesome all around. Thank you again!
MN Standard did exactly what I wanted for less money. Professional and courteous. I rate the A+.
Very good communication, extremely dependable, touching base with issues kind and courteous will definitely hire again. Definitely recommend their services. Definitely worth a five star rating. Thank you. ***** Ted
Andrew estimated too high knowing the job was not going to take very long, and still billed that amount. They took $90 off but it should have been at least $250, I wish I could be excited about the fix, but instead I feel taken.
I had to postpone project until after first of year but prompt in responding.
I spoke directly to the worker, Andrew, and he was transparent with pricing, which was very reasonable compared to the other estimates I managed to get. He helped with the HOA-required documentation, arrived on time, and performed all the work quickly - no problems with installation so far!
Had a great experience with Minnesota Standard. They responded right away and were able to come out to replace a bathroom fan quickly. Super reasonable price and very kind owner/electrician who helped us solve our fab issue for much cheaper then planned…..looking out for us and our money while getting the job done professionally and responsibly! Highly recommend
