As a licensed architect renovating my personal residence, I have high expectations for the contractors I hire. Gabriel and his team were easy to work with throughout the project, which included interior framing and drywall work (mudding and sanding new and existing walls), as well as shower pan installation and waterproofing. Communication was clear, timely, professional and friendly - all what one would ask for. As with any construction project, there were a few hiccups along the way, but Gabriel was communicative and worked with me to get things resolved as quickly as possible. And given that I also acted as the GC (was coordinating other trades), the collaborative and solution-oriented spirit was much appreciated. I hope to work with Gabriel and his team again in the future!

We’re doing a complete bathroom remodel, and after the demo, we discovered that the structure around the tub, toilet, and vanity areas needed significant reconstruction due to moisture damage in the subfloor, joists, and base plates. Gabriel came in with his expertise and did an outstanding job getting everything back to a solid, safe place so we could continue the project. He was very communicative, arrived on time, and brought all the right tools for the job. You can tell he has years of carpentry experience. His cuts and finishes were precise and clean. I also learned a lot from him along the way; he has great energy and takes real pride in his work. We’ve already talked about a few other projects we’re considering, and I’ll definitely be using him again. I highly recommend Gabriel for any carpentry work, especially structural projects that require skill and attention to code. Hiring him was absolutely worth it.
⸻ This guy is not reliable. He talks a lot, but it’s all just talk. He asked for five days to provide a written estimate with a detailed scope of work, and then came back saying he can’t do the job. People like him just waste your time and energy. I’m so happy that did not pick him as a contractor.
MMB construction is outstanding, work quality, easy communication and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I’d definitely recommend them if you are looking for reliable contractor!
Responded quickly - had good ideas and feedback.
MMB Construction , did a very good job , installing our sky lights . They handle all the city inspection and completed the work in timely manner . They took very good care of the property. The roof was open for the construction , they covered with plastic every night . Every day they cleaned the construction debris and cleaned after them. We like their professionalism and we are looking to work in the future with Gabriel from MMB Construction. I will recommend Gabriel to my friends and families for their future construction projects.
We’re very pleased with the job MMB construction did. I will use them again, and I recommend them highly. I feel the price was competitive with other contractors.
MMB construction was the best deal on Thumbtack by far and he was easy to communicate my ideas with. MMB built a deck walkway made of trex, with a step next to our raised spa by our pool to give a Bali style look. The job was completed in a timely manner, and they worked carefully to make sure the pool coping, and tile wasn't damaged. I highly recommend MMB construction for your next home project.
Gabriel built me a beautiful pergola and was patient with my timing. I’m happy with the finished product. There were a few little details I mentioned to him that I wanted fixed after he was finished and he got them done quickly!! The only thing that I could have asked for more would be a sweep up after it was said and done. It looks great!! (I added the lighting but I’m sure he could have if I’d asked for it.)
I needed to remove some eves surrounding my house in addition to having some stucco work done. Gabriel and his team worked efficiently and delivered high quality results. The work was done exactly as agreed. I reccomend MMB to anyone who needs work done by a reputable contractor.
Gabriel worked as general contractor for my 2 stories ADU project, and he did the framing of the house himself too. The project is attached to the existing house and then is more complicated than building a detached house due to the complex connections to the old house. Gabriel has been professionally competent, responsive, and skillful in his job. I'm happy with the quality of his work and strongly recommend him to any big or small project, from framing to general management of the construction of the whole building. Gabriel and his company, MBB Construction, are trustworthy and I strongly recommend them.
Great job at a good price. Responded quickly and finished the job with great quality.
WARNING! Read this first! Gabriel and MMB destroyed our new floors, damaged our new doors, hung 11 out of 15 doors incorrectly, and did not bother to clean up their mess at the job site. Of the 12 trades we have hired for our renovation project, Gabriel was the worst. Furthermore, he is operating unlicensed, taking payments personally while misrepresenting himself as a licensed contractor by using his father’s GC license (we figured out later). We made the mistake of hiring Gabriel, as he seemed to be a nice guy, but clearly had no clue what he was doing. Our lawyers will be following up with the state contractors board and seeking remedy. We were out of town during the install and foolishly send payment trusting their work was professional. I offered him to settle by simply sending us back only part of our payment to avoid litigation, but he indignantly refused... truly a crooked, unlicensed contractor. Beware.
What I mainly liked about MMB Construction was the work knowledge, transparency and professionalism. Gabriel, the owner, did not hesitate to answer all my technical questions before Starting the project. MMB raised the bar and delivered high quality work with even better price than the competitions. I recommend MMB if you are looking for a someone with solid construction knowledge and attention to details.
Not satisfied at all. Worked one day. Did not show up to finish the job. Asked to get paid in advanced. Got paid more than the work done.
Wow, What can I say? For one amazing work ethic, second so fast in his response and last i wish all contractors were like him, he will go far in this trade.
