MoDecks did a great job replacing our deck. We especially liked the color of the PVC decking because it matched our siding really well. The guys also gave us a discount, which helped us make this deck work within our budget. We were a little worried about the quality and strength of the new deck, but they reinforced the framing and footings, and everything feels very solid. They also prepared the footings so we can add a small patio cover over the deck next year. The crew was nice and friendly, did the work professionally, and even installed a gate in the railing for our young child. I would highly recommend MoDecks to anyone looking for a reliable deck builder.

I’m Eugene, owner of MoDecks, a Kirkland-based deck builder serving Bellevue and communities throughout the Eastside. I’ve been building decks in the area since 2019 and bring more than 15 years of hands-on construction experience to every project. One thing I do differently is inspect the structure before recommending new decking. I check the framing, footings, ledger connection, flashing, and drainage because in the Pacific Northwest, some of the most serious damage often starts where homeowners can’t see it. Sometimes the existing structure is still in good condition and resurfacing is all that’s needed. Other times, we uncover moisture damage that should be addressed before new boards are installed. Either way, I explain what I find, show you photos, and provide a clear written estimate so you can make an informed decision. For larger projects, we can prepare 3D designs and coordinate structural engineering, permits, and HOA approvals when needed. We work with composite and PVC decking from TimberTech, AZEK, and Trex, as well as Western Red Cedar, following applicable building codes and manufacturer installation requirements.
