they tried to make the job much bigger then it was. i wanted to have an outlet for my stove, they told me I had a problem and needed to replace box and everything 13,000 plue dollars. finally got them to just put in outlet but that was almost $1500. they did a good install but WAY TO EXPENSIVE. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. They quoted me $4,500 to repair my meter pan and made it sound like a major job that needed immediate attention. After getting a second opinion, I had the same repair completed by another licensed electrician for $200. The repair was done properly and safely at a fraction of the cost. I understand prices can vary, but the difference between $4,500 and $200 is extremely concerning. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company get multiple estimates before agreeing to any work

Mr. Electric of Newark, specifically Daniel L., arrived at my home. I explained that I needed a new breaker installed for the outside outlets, which I had already ran the wiring to the circuit panel. Additionally, I requested an evaluation and estimate to get the whole house fan running. Daniel conducted his assessment and then discussed the estimates for the work. After reviewing his estimates, I decided to proceed only with the installation of the new circuit breaker. Daniel informed me about the old condition of my panel and offered a free, obligation-free Thermal Imaging service provided by their company to detect any hidden issues. He completed the circuit breaker installation, and informed me that Kevin, the supervisor, would be arriving to perform the Thermal Imaging. Kevin identified a hot spot issue in my panel that could potentially lead to a fire and recommended upgrading to a 200-amp service, providing an estimate of $10,725 for replacement. I contacted two other companies for additional evaluations and received quotes under $3,500. One company provided a free assessment, identifying a loose screw on one wire among the 32 breakers. The technician tightened the screw free of charge and confirmed that my panel did not require replacement. The cause of the loose screw was uncertain, but I was satisfied with obtaining a second opinion.
