Hi, I’m Grant, the photographer behind NarBear in Monterey. The name comes from my love of narwhals and bears. A very scientific branding process. I take your wedding photographs seriously. Myself? A little less seriously—especially if a ridiculous joke helps you relax. My style is timeless, romantic, and natural, with room for dramatic coastal portraits and the small moments you couldn’t have planned: your dad trying to hold it together, your friends losing it during the speeches, or that look you share when you finally get a minute alone. If being photographed feels awkward, you’re in good company. Most couples don’t arrive knowing where to put their hands. I’ll give you clear direction, find beautiful light, and help you settle into being yourselves. There’s also a wedding to enjoy. You’ve brought your favorite people together, and I want you to have time with them. We’ll plan portraits around what matters to you, keep family photos moving, and leave space for the celebration to unfold. When you book NarBear, you get me. I’m the person helping you plan, standing beside you on your wedding day, and personally editing every photograph in your finished gallery.
