We tried to hire Nathan to take care of installing/reworking two standard closet doors and removing a shelf from a cabinet, as part of a larger room rearrangement/childproofing project for our toddler. We were optimistic based on other reviews and my initial conversation with him. The trouble came down to scheduling and professionalism. Nathan stated either he or his partner would arrive 8:30-9:30AM to begin 5 quoted hours of work. My husband and I had taken PTO to be home that day to take care of this work, furniture delivery/building, etc., and planned childcare and our own timeline for the day around this. 9:30AM came and went, and after contacting Nathan for an update I heard that his partner “had an appointment” and would now come at 12-1PM. I reiterated that we made plans around this scheduled work, and gave added contact info if anything else came up. Nathan assured me Harjeet would be here and apologized then. 1:00PM came and went with no word again from Nathan or Harjeet. I messaged Nathan to cancel then, because we couldn’t accommodate this work going into the evening. Nathan did not apologize and instead asked if “tomorrow morning would work.” Harjeet eventually showed up around 1:30, but at that point we were catching up on the other furniture work we’d been delaying and the closets were inaccessible. Nathan then texted me directly saying they could finish the work in 3hrs instead of 5hrs, but I didn’t feel confident scheduling further and cancelled. I did not hear back again. To be clear, I understand that sometimes things come up, schedules change, etc. My issue is that none of these issues were communicated to me in a timely manner so that we could know/adjust if needed, for both the initial schedule AND the rescheduled time. I realize our project is probably small compared to the more complex projects in other reviews, but I think if work is quoted and scheduled it should be honored and our time respected.
Nathan did an incredible job with my barn doors he was meticulous and made sure it was installed correctly and to my liking. I would definitely with him again in the future.

Nathan is a pro! He installed two new door slabs in our kitchen, and they look fabulous. Other door installers refused to even quote us for this job given how difficult it is to hang and align a new slab in an existing frame, but Nathan had the experience to take on the job and get it done right. He charged a very competitive and fair price, especially considering the high level of skill and craftsmanship that he brings. He was super communicative and helpful throughout the process, even helping us to choose the best door slabs and hardware to buy beforehand. During the installation, he took care to protect our flooring, and he cleaned everything up meticulously afterwards. He's pleasant to talk to, respectful, and LGBT friendly. We couldn't be happier with the results and will recommend Nathan enthusiastically to our friends.
