They should respond to customers - not just take the money up front and then go dark. UPDATE: I wasn’t aware of the family emergency when I left this review. I’m sorry for your loss. My concern was the lack of response after multiple emails and calls.
We had an outstanding experience working with Oak Ridge Engineering LLC on the structural assessment for the property at 117–119 E 26th Street, Paterson, NJ. The report was exceptionally thorough, clearly written, and professionally prepared from start to finish.
We were in the process of closing on our parents home, and asked to have a Structural Engineer evaluation. Oak Ridge Engineering was available right away and performed a very thorough, professional and expert inspection. They were honest, and the expertise and professionalism was exceptional. The report was detailed and beyond satisfactory. Gregg was wonderful, personable and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. On a side note, it is very stressful to sell a home and the Company made our family feel comfortable and secure during a very difficult time. Very hard to communicate with him.He will ask the money first and once he get the money you have to chase him.I couldn’t get my lisance just because of him and wasted $750
Darren was incredible. He responded quickly to all of our requests and walked us through all of our questions and possibilities of how to handle things. The entire drawings from start to finish were completed within a week! He worked with us and our contractor to make sure we weee all on the same page so that our final project will be completed properly. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
I really do not want to leave this review because Darren is very kind and knowledgeable, and we trusted him. However, since receiving our 50% deposit, we have not heard from him regarding our plans. His contract says to expect the plans within 2-3 days and it's been over a week at this point. And now he is no longer answering our phone calls or text messages. We are very understanding regarding delays as long as there is communication, but not responding at all is very unprofessional behavior. He is delaying our project and we will be pursuing further action to get our deposit back if we do not hear from him soon.
Really smooth working with Darrin at Oak Ridge engineering. Darrin really took the time to explain his plan which helped me when discussing the project with prospective contractors. Definitely recommend and would use Oak RIdge again
I had a great experience working with Darren from Oak Ridge Engineering. He came out to assess a wall in my condo to determine if it was load-bearing, and he was prompt, professional, and thorough. Darren clearly explained his findings and quickly provided a detailed structural report to provide to the township to obtain permits, which helped me move forward with confidence on my renovation project. I highly recommend Oak Ridge Engineering for anyone needing structural assessments or engineering support.
I did not hire Oak Ridge because the engineer did not show for the appointment, and he did not contact me to explain that he was going to be late or could not make it. Through the app, I asked him to please contact me if he were either running late or could not make it. At the appointment time when he still had not arrived or contacted me in any way, I called him (left a voicemail) then sent a note through the app to which he responded that he could not make the appointment because he was on another job site. My time is valuable, too, especially on the weekend. I viewed the experience with Oak Ridge as unprofessional and unacceptable.
