Do NOT hire Occoquan Pool Services. I am attaching photos of how Occoquan Pool Services left my pool this month, May 2026, after we hired him to change our pool liner. Santiago Giron sent 2 guys to repair our pool liner and obviously they had no experience changing pool liners. Santiago did not even show up even though he is the one who for several years opened and closed our pool. We called Santiago to report that it looked like the guys were struggling while they attempted to do the work but Santiago said he could not come out that day, despite us hiring HIM (and NOT the 2 guys) to do the work. We have now hired a new, experienced company and they are charging us more money to repair what Occoquan Pool Services did to the pool wall AND to change the pool liner. They also said there is NO need to extend the pool, like Occoquan Pool Services said. This is just unbelievable. If you can’t do a job, just say it. Be honest. Do NOT hire Occoquan Pool Services!!

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience working with Occoquan Pool Services and your team. First, I do want to say that I appreciated the responsiveness throughout the process, and your team did a good job cleaning the pool itself. Since the pool had not been utilized in nearly three years, it was in very rough condition, and I recognize the amount of work that took. That said, there were several concerns that came up afterward that I feel are important to share. I was told that because water was leaking from the hot tub, I likely had a leak in the system. This concerned me because prior to the pool being closed, the pool had undergone extensive restoration work, including leak repairs and resurfacing. Since then, I hired another company to evaluate the system, and several issues were identified: I needed a check valve installed, although I had previously been told the elevation of the Horton system was level with the equipment and did not require one. There were no filters in the pump. The team appeared unable to fully operate or configure the system. The heater and equipment are all functional, and I was ultimately able to set up scheduling through the indoor control unit. I do understand the system is older and may not be familiar to everyone, but it does appear the system itself was operational. There was also a leak in the filter box. One of your technicians attempted to repair it with putty, which I appreciated as an effort to help, but it was not a permanent solution. Fortunately, I was able to patch the issue rather than replace the entire unit, which I had been quoted approximately $1,400 for. My biggest concern overall is that while the pool itself was cleaned, the system was never truly brought into proper working condition. As someone who is not a pool expert, I trusted that the system was operating correctly, and I worry that some of these issues could have caused damage if left unresolved. I am sharing this feedback constructively, not negatively. I appreciated parts of the experience, but I also think these are important areas for improvement, particularly when customers are relying on your team’s expertise to ensure the system itself is functioning properly. I hope this feedback is helpful.

First time using this company and they were right on time and professional. Maintained my pool and closed it. Looking forward to working with them next summer.
Great experience. I will always use Occoquan. Took a pool that had been neglected for years and broguth it back to life. Kept it maintened on sechdule and closed when season was over. One less thing I need to worry about as I have a trusted service to handle it for me.

I used Occoquan for the first time this season. I have used six cleaning services over the years, and they are far and away the best people we have met in the industry. Always timely, careful, and polite, and they know what they're doing as well. We have a particularly large and oddly shaped pool, so maintaining it is complex. They handled it without any problem. I'd highly recommend this team.

Great staff…
Better communication and provide a phone number to receive feedback and status update. An electrician was sent to my house to perform a diagnostic test, no results were provided and received a bill with incorrect and false information. In addition to that a motor was left on the ground without any explanation and then suddenly they quit.
Santiago was amazing! after almost two years of having a lake in my back yard I now have a beautiful swimmable pool!! He cleaned it thouroughly and made suggestions to make our system operate better and was just all around helpful. Occoquan will be servicing my pool for years to come :-)
