Reviews

This is not a review of their work because I never got to that stage. This is a review of my attempts to communicate with them and refine the job and estimate proposals that I received. Communication was unnecessarily long. Simple questions I had about planned material usages could not be directly answered in email. I was handed off to someone else that would never both to call me to get questions resolved. After requesting to remove items from an original proposal because I wanted to deffer them or because the quote costs was not reasonable for a specific job task, I also had questions about materials and whether or not I could procure them. Really I just wanted to make sure that I would be able to pick out my tiles and fixtures and make sure that if I chose a cheaper set of tile I would not get overcharged. I also had question because they listing supplies which were already present - For example: a P-Trap for plumbing when one already existed and was not needed to be replaced. A generic listing that mentioned 'drain and shower head and other items' when... the shower neck was fine and did not need to be replaced, and screwing on a shower head, even if it was one I bought in case they did not have fixtures that matched the rest of my house, should not cost as much as was implied by the estimate. So I wanted to ask about those things. No response to these reasonable inquiries was ever made. Instead the new proposal they sent me had a $1200 dollar "project management fee due to customer provided materials" attached to it that was nearly the same cost as the materials of the first proposal. This fee did not exist on their first estimate. No reasonable person would pay that AND pay for the materials themselves as well. This was either a very blatant attempt at a money grab or a serious misunderstanding of intent occurred. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and request a phone conversation to clear it up. I was told I would be contacted. I was not. My attempts to contact the person they claimed would call me all failed. A week went by I still had not been contacted and I re-inquired. I was handed off yet again to the same person who failed to contact me so I decided that if this was how they treat prospective clients, then being an actual customer/client would probably be worse, so I declined their estimate proposals and cut ties.

Caleb was great with communication, had good ideas for the project, and finished on time and on budget. Excellent experience, and I hope to work together with him in the future.
