Hey I'm Derek! I have had the privilege of being a wedding DJ for about 10 years now. I officially launched ONYX in 2020 as a way for customers to experience a “one stop shop” for their wedding/event needs. We offer DJ, Photography, Videography, Photo booth, Lighting, Hair and Makeup. I began my DJing job in Austin, TX with one of the TOP Wedding service companies in the U.S. and my mentor was voted #1 DJ in Austin! As a Nashville singer/musician, I love bringing fun and creativity to the dance floor. The wedding experience is something that is to be cherished and remembered forever. The idea of making even the slightest positive difference in the way the special night is remembered is what drives me to take my job very seriously and have lots of enthusiasm. Whether it be creating a unique playlist to your taste, getting your people on the dance floor, or just checking in with the wedding coordinator, I will always make sure the couple is taken care of throughout the night. My highest priority is to create a great environment and memories that will last a lifetime!

Jay did an AWESOME job at our event!!! Everyone loved him and he was very professional and FUN! We had to move our original set up and he was so kind about it! Our event at Macy’s was very successful and he definitely contributed to that! We already miss him!!!

They were fantastic!! We contacted them last minute because our photo booth we previously hired had to cancel. They stepped up and truly created an experience our guests loved! They brought props and a backdrop. A day after our wedding we got a copy of all the photos and gifs our guest did. It was so much fun to look over them. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

ONYX Was just wonderful. Cassidy was the assistant at our event and she was so great. Super friendly and welcoming to everyone in attendance, she got there early and stayed until the event was wrapped up. She was so great! 10/10 recommend for all your photo-booth needs!
ONYX Entertainment did an amazing job with our photobooth! The props were fun and it was quick and easy to take photos. There was a person there to ensure everything was running smoothly. We also got the photos back very quickly. All around amazing job and would highly recommend!
Our wedding was August 1, 2021 and our DJs came and knocked it out of the park! Everything was on que and they were so energetic and even got out and danced with the crowd. Great people! I would definitely recommend them for your special event. Thanks Onyx!
The crew arrived late. I had paid for 3 hours. Machine did not work properly. Had to wait about 30 minutes before machine actually worked. Otherwise once functioning properly it was gine.
Derek was awesome to have around. He was very friendly and nice. there are not enough nice things I could say about him. If you are looking for a photo booth i strongly recommend him. He is definitely worth the money. He was very professional and my daughter loved dressing everyone in the props that he brought for the photo booth.
DJ Derek was very easy to work with. He played all the songs we wanted. Sounded great and kept the party going. He’s very friendly and professional. Will definitely use him again.

I just got married last night and I could not be happier with this DJ service!! They have great communication, professionalism, and quality in their services!! They answered any questions I may have had throughout the planning process and went above and beyond in everything they do! My guests were dancing all night and enjoyed every song that was played. They put my mind at ease and had everything prepared way before start time!! If you are planning a wedding or an event, I 100% recommend this DJ service!!
