Hi! I am the owner and tutor of Optimistic Tutoring Solutions. I have 19 years of tutoring experience across various subjects and grade levels. I have my B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and Elementary Education from the University of Colorado – Denver. We tutor all subjects. We provide a fun, laid-back educational environment. We believe that learning should be fun. We use a variety of resources and curricula. We provide a positive environment and specialize in increasing not only a child’s academic ability but also their confidence. Our clients have shown an increase in their MAP scores, grades, and standardized test scores. We have worked with many children over the years, including their siblings, cousins, and friends. The way we teach on Zoom has worked very well for many different types of children. We have even had children ask their parents if they can keep tutoring even though they are now at grade level because they are having so much fun. I have taken math and reading classes in my Master's program on teaching these subjects to children. I have taken a professional development class on how to teach math through Stanford University. I have also been trained in the Barton reading and spelling program for children with dyslexia and in Singapore math. We have tutored typical, special needs, dyslexic, and gifted preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school students. Optimistic Tutoring Solutions conducts tutoring sessions via Zoom. Optimistic Tutoring Solutions uses a curriculum in reading, writing, and math that aligns with the Common Core curriculum. I use the reading curriculum that I used when I was a reading intervention teacher. These curricula are easily adapted to online learning. I also bring in a variety of other resources. All tutoring sessions are customized to the child's needs. We always like to bring in the child's interests whenever possible. Currently, Optimistic Tutoring Solutions tutors kids across the United States via Zoom. Brianna has helped my son tremendously in math. Due to the pandemic he was behind in math but since he has started his scores had improved tremendously, as well as his confidence! He has seen a improvement as well as his teachers. Brianna is also very flexible so she is able to work with our changing schedules! He looks forward to each session. She comes highly recommended!
Brianna is wonderful, she has really helped my son, he was really behind in reading and we hired her to work with him a couple hours a week towards the end of the school he jumped 3grade levels at the end of the year. I would recommend Brianna anytime someone needs a tutor and would definitely use her again in the future.
