My approach is warm and positive; I give students everything they need to pursue both classical and contemporary music, and we have fun doing it! My students have the opportunity to: - get to know many styles of music - become strong readers and confident musicians - perform for each other often in a warm, supportive environment As a homeschool graduate, I began college early at age 15 for music theory and performance. Since 2010 I’ve taught lessons, both privately, and for award-winning music academies across America. Since 2020 I’ve taught exclusively online, and my students love the convenience and flexibility. Since this is all I’ve done for years, I know how to make it the best experience. On my end, I utilize a multi-camera setup for max visibility, and a combination of analog and digital learning tools to help students engage and learn. Finding a piano teacher can be tough, but I knew I found the right one when she responded quickly to my inquiry with such positivity. As an adult/senior student, I was nervous, but she made me feel completely at ease and I'm looking forward to learning with her.

This is the best piano teacher ever. My son is autistic and has an insanely good memory for piano. He loves it dearly, but it’s difficult for him to get through lessons sometimes. His teacher is so patient and sweet. She redirects him and works with us if he doesn’t want to do a song or needs a minute if something is hard. She has great songs—they make you want to play more. It helps my son want to play if it’s a song he likes. She is great with gently correcting him on appropriate hand structure. She’s seriously just the best. I can’t say enough good things!
Maya is very nice, helpful, and professional. I've grown a lot in just a few sessions with piano and I'm a complete novice. She is a great teacher!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maya. I am an adult beginner and she has a magical way of making piano fun and engaging. What is super special about her is that she meets you where YOU are and then helps you grow. She is enthusiastic and approaches piano instruction in a well-rounded way. I have had a few teachers and she is by far the best!. I would give her many more stars if I could.
In a short period of time i have learned so much from Maya. She’s very nice and knowledgeable. I play chords at the church but i dont know how to read sheet musics completely. She explains things very well and she will work with your schedule to make it happen. Overall she’s 10/10 piano teacher with lots and lots of experience and techniques to share so you can learn faster and effectively. I can now read music sheets and a lot of people at the church noticed some big differences before and after learning piano with Maya
