They did not honor their appointment time. They were to come between noon and 4. Got a call at 2:15 stating that they did have anyone to come out. No regard for my time and the arrangements I made to be available. Crap

The date and time I selected was Monday June 29 from 11 am to 2 pm. Plugz Electric called at 12:45pm to inform me a service person would now be dispatched and would be here by 1:30 pm Once the installation person arrived he was very professional and was done within 60 to 75 minutes. Just frustrated about the slow response time.
$788 quote for "diagnostic and minor repair!" Not sure what they're thinking!

I didn’t want to write this review, because boy do I feel stupid, but I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make a more informed decision. The workers were polite and the work appears to be completed correctly (it has only been a few hours since they finished). My concern is entirely about the price. I obtained two quotes through Thumbtack, and they were relatively close to each other. Based on the scope of work described, Plugz stated they would be doing the same things another company had quoted, and their price appeared to be the better option at the time, so I agreed. They were able to come the next day to complete the work. However, after the job was done, and I saw the work that was done. I compared what I paid to typical price ranges for this type of work in my area. The amount I was charged was insane. During the visit I mentioned several times that everything was getting so expensive and the body language of the workers left me with the impression that something wasn’t right. Maybe they felt guilty maybe not, but I did more digging after the fact. For transparency, I’m including screenshots showing the typical price range for this type of work in my area according to AI along with the invoice showing what I actually paid. I did call a more commercial company and was able to get a rough estimate, given the work done, over the phone and needless to say they were way cheaper. Gone are the days where you could trust Thumbtack to save you from the cost of the larger more commercial companies. My advice to anyone hiring through Thumbtack or similar platforms: Use AI and do more independent research before agreeing to the work. Get multiple quotes from different sources and compare them to typical market pricing. I relied too heavily on quotes from this platform. The technicians themselves were courteous, but based on the pricing I experienced, I strongly encourage others to do thorough due diligence before hiring.

We had Plugz put in a GFCI switch for a dishwasher install project. The service was completed adequately and is working well and was reasonably priced. However, the servicer who interacted with my wife was rude in-person and over the phone. While they attempted to remedy this through a low quote on another project, after comparing with other companies, it wasn't very competitive.
