Reviews
First time on Thumbtack. Requested to have baseboards done in a bathroom. Quoted me right away. Gave me a couple options to choose from-paint, caulk, no paint no caulk. Matthew was able to find the exact baseboard to match the rest of the house. Installation seemed effortless. He did the job in less than 2 hrs. Left no mess. I love the precision of the corners. He took time to do it right. Will recommend him and keep him in mind for future projects! Thanks Matthew!
Matthew was on time, finished the task in a timely manner, and did a great job. Definitely recommend!
He did a fantastic job! Changed the direction of how the door opened! So smooth it's a pleasure to open now! Thank you!
Matt was very helpful in getting our hanging mirror project completed. He offered suggestions when asked and followed through with solution to achieve our desired result. I also appreciated that he cleaned up as the project was wrapped up. We will certainly contact him again for other projects. Thank you, Matt.
Matt did a fantastic job replacing a rear exterior door and storm door. He helped us find an affordable door, picked it up for us, cleaned up problem areas in the siding, discussed solutions and costs different than the quote, and modified the install as needed. It looks so good, we are really happy with it. Definitely will reach out to him again for the front door when the time comes.
Great experience - would recommend to anyone looking to have their mower repaired.
He was very fast and great work. Thrilled. Fair price.
***Update- After posting my original review, the Matthew Kalchik sent me a message containing personal insults, threats of legal action, and statements implying they would contact my military superiors if the review was not removed. This communication made me feel uncomfortable, included is his direct message*** My opinion: Hired to install exterior door and storm door. He came to install at 930 am and left around 6pm, he didn’t finish the door that day. We had an agreed upon amount for the cost and he continued to add more to the cost without prior engagement. He came back to finish the door and the photo shows the results of the “completed” project.
Look no further and just book Matt! Very professional, highly skilled, and an overall good guy. Fair pricing and explains his vision very thoroughly. He has completed two projects thus far and I couldn't be happier with the results. We will not hesitate to partner with Matt again. The first project was a pain. Our residential commercial-looking barn doors. The studs in the wall were not on center, there wasn't a header, and the doors were slightly damaged in transit from Wayfair. Matt was very patient with coming up with a solution, installed a backer board, and was able to fix the doors. We love them! Project #2 is adding shelves in our pantry. We wanted one larger shelf that is reinforced for our mixer. See the after photo. They're not painted yet, but it looks amazing. Matt will be back to add an upper shelf. Thank you, Matt!!!!!
