About Prof. Claudio Lonardo
CIAO, my name is Claudio, I grew up in Napoli, Italy, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science. I came to the US when I was 22 and I received my Teaching Credential through Cal Lutheran University, in Los Angeles, CA. I immediately got a teaching job in a public high school, Ventura High School, where I have been teaching Italian for the past 13 years. I also have experience in tutoring adults. I teach Italian in a fun and interactive way. My number one goal is for my students to have fun and enjoy my class while they learn. My lessons will reflect your needs. Usually during the first meeting, we will discuss your personal goals and I will help you and guide you in achieving these goals. Through games, lectures, reading, grammar exercises, singing, and much more, I feel very confident that you will learn the language of "LA DOLCE VITA". I look forward to working with you! CIAO CIAO
Reviews
Claudio has been great to work with, and I've enjoyed my Italian 1-1 coaching before my honeymoon in Italy. It's been great to speak Italian from day 1, and I'm happy with my progress in just a few months.
Professor Claudio has been great and super helpful to learn Italian with my wife as we prepare for a trip to Italy. Highly recommend him for anyone who wants to learn Italian!
Claudio is very congenial, responsive and a wonderful person.
Working with Prof. Claudio has been great! He teaches at a pace where I feel comfortable and challenged but still able to comprehend the content. He created his own book that he uses to teach, with each lesson there’s additional practice pages and I’ve found this very helpful. Claudio is flexible with scheduling and is always on time. I was so nervous about learning a second language but he has made it very fun and I look forward to each valuable session. Prof. Claudio is a fantastic Italian instructor and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn or improve their Italian!
Prof. Claudio is engaging, fun, and an experienced/certified instructor. He developed his own teaching materials which make the lessons and assignments predictable and cumulative. Claudio is flexible with scheduling and is always in our virtual sessions before I arrive. He has a lot of patience but also takes the appropriate opportunities to push his clients. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend Professor Claudio. He is incredibly flexible and accommodating, making the process of learning a new language enjoyable and stress-free. His teaching style is thoughtful and well-organized, as he explains the significance of words and groups material in a logical manner. His patience is truly commendable. Having tried to learn Italian before, I found it stressful, but with Professor Claudio, it’s a fun and delightful experience!
I love working with Claudio. He is guiding me through the Italian language and how to have a conversation and annunciation of each letter. I hope to be speaking this beautiful language by September this year! Claudio cares about my learning and wants to see me speak it correctly.
Prof. Claudio is an excellent teacher. His lessons are well structured and easy to understand. He is also polite, friendly and well educated. His passion for teaching is impressive. He makes learning Italian fun.
