I scheduled time for him to come to do light handyman work. He cancelled the night before. Then when rescheduling, he wanted to send 2 people to do the work of 1 person. Then, he shifted the pricing terms from $50/hour to a fixed price of $700 for one person (to do 6-8 hours of work, which would have cost $300-$400 based on the original terms). The work scope had been reduced after I did some of the work myself when he cancelled the first time - yet the shifty pricing doubled! He knew that this was the first in multiple opportunities in a remodel project - but he ended up doing no work for me after cancelling, sandbagging the people and shifting price.
