Russ Kaplan Music

About Russ Kaplan Music

I'm a Broadway composer and jazz/rock pianist who teaches piano, songwriting/composition and music theory to students of all ages, via zoom or in person. I love helping students not only develop technical piano skills, but discover how to develop a personal style and create their own music.

Reviews

“Russ is a talented music teacher. He is patient, encouraging and uses easy and practical methods to help you learn to play the more challenging musical pieces which, as an older adult, I greatly appreciate. As a musician, he also emphasizes musicality which is as important as the technique. I was going to take lessons through a music center until someone recommended Russ. So glad I followed the recommendation. I highly recommend Russ!”
