Lisa was an absolutely wonderful addition to our wedding vendor team. She was along my side helping throughout the day and getting all the most perfect shots. She relieved a lot of the wedding day jitters and assured things would be perfect and still captured amazing photos despite rain and many last minute changes on our wedding day. I’d highly recommend her at your event as she really showed composure under pressure and worked so great with the other vendors. We loved your professionalism and light joking and great prompts for nice “candid” shots Lisa! Also, we loved how well you worked with the videographer to get those picture perfect moments.

Where do I start.... I contacted Lisa through Thumbtack a week before the day I wanted to propose, and even though it was so close to the date of the proposal, she happily agreed to help me click our pictures. She was very professional throughout and we decided on the location and time to meet, the day prior to the event. I still remember how nervous I was - she was really sweet and helped calm me down. On the day of the proposal, she arrived early and met me at the location before my now fiance and her family arrived. Throughout the event she was so patient with all the poses and pictures. Both our family and us had a wonderful time with Lisa! There is no doubt that we will contact Lisa for any and every possible Photography need in the future!
Lisa was an amazing photographer to work with, I decided to do a surprise engagement at Niagara Falls. She recommended where would be a good spot and was willing to work with my plans and understanding what I wanted. She had a very uplifting energy and definitely made us feel comfortable in taking pictures. Just got a sneak peek recently for our pictures, and they look amazing. Can’t wait to see the rest and overall I would recommend over and over.

With Lisa, you don’t just get a photographer. You get the utmost professionalism while she juggles being a hairstylist, makeup artist, coordinator, planner, therapist, seamstress, comedian, and punching bag. She helped make the day extremely special aside from her amazing photography skills. She worked amazing with our other vendors and had visions for each spot she walked to. For 2 very unphotogenic awkward people, she really works magic and makes it seem normal and comfortable. Prior to the event she was responsive, kind, and flexible with all our unique needs and wants. i never once doubted her or her abilities to make this day special. There aren’t enough kind words to say about Lisa, but you definitely won’t be disappointed in her work. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without her and I’ll forever be grateful for the amazing person she is and how supportive she was on the day of!

Overall it was great using their services & the photos came out amazing. There was a hiccup with meeting at the right place but everything still worked out well.
I would highly recommend Lisa Russell and Russell photography to anyone and everyone. There were 2 couples that asked where I found her and wanted her information at my wedding. We started this process of finding a photographer back in January, my now wife is a RN so we decided that I would be contacting a few photographers; get samples of pictures and prices. Then she would ultimately decide based upon a meet and greet and looking at the pictures whom we would go with. We were on a budget of $1200-$1399, the final bill including tax $1311.94. I only talk about the money because most couples are on a budget and she worked with us to stay in our budget range. Kelly and I meet a few photographers back in February/March and when we left the meeting with Lisa, Kelly was adamant this is our photographer. We didn’t wait too much longer, within an hour or so, maybe within 5 minutes or so, too book her. With a change in the number of people from 150 to 50 and with a change of venue Lisa rolled through everything with no issues. Russell photography was attentive to our every need, Lisa sent us our sneak peek last night that put us in tears and that’s the photo I’m including. I’ll update this review after all the pictures are done.
Lisa did an amazong job with our wedding photos . she was very good at getting back to us quickly and getting us a sneek peak of our photos quickly. She made us both feel very comfortable and she was professional but also fun. She met with me multiple time before the day of the wedding , as well once AFTER the wedding to help us find something we had lost that had nothing to do with the photos , she dod it just to help out of the kindness of her heart. All the phtos have come out amazing, and i can not express how her and her father went ABOVE and beyond to make our day perfect. Highly highly recommend!!!!
Lisa is absolutely phenomenal! We did 2 engagement sessions with her and could not be happier. She has such a good eye. We really liked how she took concern with any requests we had (ex. If I wanted to avoid a certain body area). She was very respectful. She has such an amazing personality that you instantly feel comfortable. I can't wait to see the photos she takes come wedding day!!!
