Shane and crew did beautiful work installing trim in my 1880s Victorian. They treated the details with real care, taking the time to match profiles and make clean joints, where many carpenters would push for a more quick and dirty build. They checked in at the right moments with design questions to make sure every piece lined up exactly the way I wanted. Came prepared with the right tools and were a pleasure to work with. I’m thrilled with the result and would happily hire them again.
Shane came to assess our front door the same day I submitted an inquiry. We decided to do a replacement instead of repair. Shane took the time to make sure there is no draft with very good weatherstripping, which was my original concern of our original door. He picked up the door for me and disposed the old door. It did take a couple of visits to finish the job, but at the end of the day, I love our new door! Thanks Shane!

I had a great experience working with Shane. First, he was very responsive. I met with him the day after I put the request on thumbtack. In our first meeting he gave me a verbal estimate and quickly followed up a few hours later with a formal bid. He's a straight shooter, and I felt like I was getting a great deal. Second, I didn't know exactly what I needed to be built in my project (getting rid of a doorway between my kitchen and a bedroom), but Shane was a great partner in the creative process. He's really easy to work with. Third, he was able to save some crown molding from the original door frame and use it in the bedroom once the door was removed. This not only saved money, but it worked perfectly visually. A different carpenter had missed that detail in his estimate and assumed he would have to rebuild the molding from scratch. Also, for the baseboard in the bedroom, which is also hard to find (100 year old building), Shane copied the style and made it from a different type of molding. I am very happy with the finished product. On the bedroom side, you can't tell there was a door there. On the kitchen side, I have a nice decorative feature. Thanks Shane!
Excellent work! He widened a doorway so we could fit our washer/dryer, finished the job quickly, and the quality was great. Even cleaned up afterward—professional and efficient from start to finish.
Shane turned a dingy makeshift staircase into something my family now enjoys. He’s a good carpenter and craftsman and knows how to work with a client to achieve really nice results. I highly recommend him and will use him again for future projects.
We had damage to a pair of French doors leading to the terrace. Shane gave me what I thought was a very fair price for the extensive repairs that had to be made and he executed those repairs with great care and attention and I couldn't be happier with the result. I would recommend him highly as a professional carpenter and as a very personable and delightful person to work with.
Shane built a decorative wall panel backdrop for our podcast studio and it looks fantastic! Very easy to communicate with and very thorough. He wants to make sure the job is done and done right. Highly recommend!
