Very disappointed with both the pricing transparency and quality of work. I was charged $750 in labor alone to install T-molding in seven doorways. The Thumbtack listing advertised $100–$150 per hour, but what was never clearly disclosed was that this rate would be charged per person. I was not even informed that a second worker would be coming, yet I was expected to pay double the hourly rate. When I questioned the pricing, the contractor insisted this was explicitly stated on Thumbtack, which was not the case based on the information presented to me. To make matters worse, the workmanship was subpar despite the premium pricing. I have no issue paying professionals fairly for quality work, but I do expect honest communication, transparent pricing, and results that reflect what I’m paying. The entire experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. I would strongly recommend getting a detailed written quote, including the number of workers and the total labor cost, before hiring this contractor.

Troy is very well experienced, had a smooth installation of a gas dryer and he solved any issues without any additional charge.
Knowledgeable. Fixed all doors and added new knobs. Work was done very well and in a timely manner.
Troy and his son were nothing less than perfect! I would (will) use them again. Anyone looking for quality and honest work, you can't go wrong with Salvation Builders LLC!!!!!!
They arrived an hour late to start. I understand that installing any kind of door on mobilhomes can be difficult. I don't understand how it takes two experienced carpenters two hours to install one door. The door looks good from the outside but not from the inside. See attached picture. At $450.00 I definitely feel like I was over charged. If you have money to burn then hire them but not then I don't recommend hiring them.
Was able to get same day service for over-the-range microwave installation that Best Buy was not able to hack!
I would never recommend this company based on my experience. The job originally started as something very simple. I asked them to cut down and paint doors that I had already purchased. I provided the measurements because I planned to install the doors myself. All I needed was for the doors to be cut to my measurements, painted, and returned to me. When Troy arrived, I gave him my measurements. He told me he would feel more comfortable taking his own measurements and fitting the doors himself before cutting them. I trusted his judgment and agreed. Unfortunately, that decision turned out to be a mistake. He destroyed one of the doors with a router while working and said he would need to make a Home Depot run for another one, which would have added even more time to the job. Luckily, I had purchased an extra door, so I had him use that instead. Troy took his own measurements, cut the doors to those measurements, routed the hinge locations, painted the doors, and left. What I originally expected to be less than a two-hour job turned into a 4 and a half hour job because he chose to measure and fit everything himself. When I installed the doors, every single one had problems: One door drags across the carpet. One door will not fully close or latch. One door is oversized and scrapes the frame every time it is closed. I called Troy expecting him to come back and correct the issues. Instead, he told me to remove the door that was dragging and cut a half inch off the bottom myself. In other words, after paying for his labor and paying for the doors themselves, I was still expected to fix his mistakes. To make matters worse, he initially included labor on the invoice for the door that he ruined. I had to point it out and ask for those charges to be removed. I hired this company because I didn’t have the equipment to properly cut and spray-paint the doors. I specifically wanted those parts of the job done with the proper tools, and I planned to handle the installation myself. Instead, I ended up paying for professional labor, received three doors that were cut incorrectly, and was told to make the corrections myself. Based on my experience, I would not hire Troy or this company again.
I decided a while back to use legit companies for work in my home. I’m tired of no shows, excuses, ghosting, fraud etc… salvation builders installed all of the hardware on the cabinets in my new bathroom. Looks great
Working with Troy and his team was incredible. Far exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to work with them again.
Troy turned out to be available for several projects around my house. He was even able to determine which bolts were missing from my tv mount and go to Lowe’s to replace them as part of the job, saving me from needing to buy a new mount. I would have no hesitation to hire him again.
It was a pleasure to work with Troy! He was very reasonable and quick to fix about all the things I asked him to take a look at.
curtain installation job with some unique qualities, brick wall, awkward uneven walls and barrier between windows with one 15 to 20ft rod. came prepared, was accommodating to the mess and made sure compensate for the oobstacles listed aabove. highly recommend. thank you
They arrived on time, did the job carefully and finished promptly. I would work with them whenever I have another job,
Good communication, on time, very knowledgeable and experienced. Not cheap (150 for first hr, 100 per hour thereafter per worker) but you also get what you pay for - and I believe if you have a task that might be a bit tricky beyond the scope of a general handyman, Troy and his son will get it done correctly the first time. I paid 110 more than a handyman quoted me to get a front door installed but I’m happy with how it turned out. Was a bit tricky to get a perfect fit and Troy’s son paid good attention to detail
Exceptional workmanship on our pocket doors that have been askew for at least a decade. Honest and ethical business practices .
Big thanks for Troy’s professionalism as he took care of several of my house projects
My closet shelf completely fell off the wall and they were able to repair it and make it stronger. They did a fantastic job and they did it quickly. I am already hiring them for my next job.
Looks great.
Quick and communicative! Did a great job
It was a pleasure working with Salvation Builders LLC!
