It was a long day, but if it wasn't for Shane's professionalism we would not have known that DELL sent us the wrong computer. He actually got on the phone with them and tried to help to iron things out. Unfortunately, DELL refused to accept responsibility for their actions. Shane was very prompt and professional everything worked out as agreed.
Shane was amazing. He arrived on time and got right to work. My computer was not talking to my printer even when it was on the same Wifi. It took him a while to diagnose the problem but, he stayed with until he got both of my printers communicating with my Mac and Iphone. I highly recommend Shane at Secret Simple for any of your computer needs.
He was thorough and did everything I asked him to do. He made suggestions that were appropriate and followed up with those too

Excellent response time and punctual. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Cleared up my main issue immediately and was surprisingly able to recover my iTunes music library which even Apple could not accomplish. Was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating.
Went above and beyond with my reparation project. He assisted me with making sure that my components were placed correctly and also provided me with software suggestions and additional tips for preserving my build. During the reparation he made sure to contact me when he found anything major about the computer so that I was always aware of what was going on. Definitely recommend!

Shane is 100% top notch master of his craft. I have had other techs that only know this or know that and they might have been pretty good. Shane is a true computer wizard he not only did what he came for I had some other needs I was struggling with and he went out of his way and spent multiple hours getting everything working correctly just troubleshooting one thing at a time and I had a ton of things going on that were causing major harm to my business. Ever since he came it’s so simple and he explains wry thing so well on my level without making me like I should know this stuff he related and I’ve had him over a couple times and he I extremely professional, efficient, mastermind, a master at his craft and all aspects including macs, pc’s, apps, advertising and I plan on having him come over on a regular basis to keep improving my systems and we were even able to save me a ton of money on all aspects and see where I was spending money effectively and where it was not affective and or hurting my business. I don’t know why they only let you choose three out of 5 boxes he should have 100 all checked off! Y’all should be paying him! No words to explain how grateful and thankful I am for his time and his personalization in every aspect can’t wait to find out what else he can do. If you choose anyone else to solve any issue related to any kind of tech, advertising, repair, professionalism the list doesn’t end. Bottom line he is vital to my company and I pray I get the chance to work with him on a regular basis. Absolute and Total Master Pro Wizard and just a great person on top of that. I had a thumbdrive that was written over, possibly formatted that had backup data for my wife's accounting business. These excel and word files were of extreme importance and the drive showed empty! I previously tried a software tool to recover the files and they came back as unreadable and unusable. I contacted Shane, late at night in desperation to the lost data that would have taken 100's of labor hrs to rebuild. Shane contacted me almost immediately and after our appointment, he was able to recover all the important files! Much to my relief and especially my wife's, she was back in business and much burden was taken off our shoulders. Shane is a professional, has an excellent skill set, a great people person and I would say an artist also for making this nearly impossible feat to be successful! Thank you Shane for your good work!!
I can't believe I waited so long.
My ordeal with Shane Anciso, owner of Secret Simple Computer Repair began on 3/21/18 when he initially quoted a price of $125 to replace the cracked screen on my $900 Asus Zenbook laptop, undercutting a quote of $140 I'd received from Gadget Repair whom I was scheduled to meet with that day. During Shane's inspection of my laptop (at Dunkin Donuts) he cracked the screen much worse than it was then said it would cost $190 to replace it instead of the $125 he'd originally quoted (btw, he was 40 minutes late to our first meeting.) I remember wondering if the additional damage was intentional to make sure I used him instead of Gadget Repair. He ordered the part and came to my home the morning of 3/26/18 to install it (arriving 20 mins late). I told him my daughter was asleep upstairs so please keep it quiet. He constantly spoke excessively loud throughout his time there as if he was oblivious to my request then when he'd finished the repair he began to loudly pop the bubble wrap that came with the screen. When I looked around at him like,"What are you doing," he sheepishly apologized, said he loved bubble wrap and stated, "That's the first unprofessional thing I've done all day, " like it was an achievement. As I was inspecting the repair I noticed that when I opened the laptop the screen separated from the frame and I could literally see inside the laptop. He blamed it on the "crappy way the replacement screen was made" (his exact words), and said he had to pry the plastic part away from the old screen to reuse with the new screen. The part he pried off was rippled and bent from where he pried it apart. After seeing I was very unhappy with the results he said he would order some special glue and finish the repair when it came in. He actually tried to leave before I noticed the screen was not holding to the frame. We agreed to meet at Dunkin Donuts again at 2pm on 3/29/18 so he could apply the glue, and at 12;14pm I get a text saying, "Make it 3pm. See you then. Shane," with a smiley face. I texted him okay, but I had other plans that were being affected my the last minute change. I got there at 3:05pm and he was there waiting. When he'd applied the glue and gave my laptop back this time it was creaking and I could literally see where it didn't line up anymore. It was crooked in places and when closed there was a gap on one side of it, front and back. There was dirt under the screen that couldn't be cleaned and he said he wasn't sure if the glue would hold ( it looked to me like he'd used too much glue... see photo). He then suggested taping it to make sure it held together until it dried, but when I asked him who would remove the tape he had no answer. It was at this point he offered to give me my money back, which he refunded from his phone right then. When I got it home, I noticed there was white light bleeding out the right border of the screen, and can also sometimes be seen along the bottom of the screen as well. I left a message with Shane and he ignored me for 3 days. He finally responded and sent me a link to a screen on Ebay and said if I bought it he would install it. I told him I'd pay for it once it was installed and he agreed, but when I didn't hear from him again for several days I sent him another text complaining about his work ethic and abilities. I suggested maybe we should reconsider splitting the replacement cost of the laptop since he'd mentioned replacing it earlier at Dunkin Donuts. I told he would then get the Asus. I don't feel I should be left in a worse position than when I started. Days later he responded, he'd given me a refund so we were done. My laptop looks horrible (see photos), and I'm still afraid to remove the tape. DO NOT use SHANE ANCISO! He will ruin your computer, give you your money back, and then absolve himself of all responsibility and damages. Ken C
Very kind and professional. My external hard drive was too far gone to recover but he referred me to someone else that may be able to help and didn't charge for his time. I'd call Shane again for any computer/hard drive issues.
Shane was awesome! He happily picked up from me and delivered back to me a dead external drive that contained a decade of family photos that due to a setup error we made were not backed up. Shane was able to take this drive that just whined and clunked and recover the contents and transferred to a new drive that he purchased for us. Shane saved the day. Thank you!

I contacted Shane through Thumbtack. I was hoping he could get the data off of a fried external hard drive. Unfortunately he was unable to do this, but I then asked him to get my data off of the fried computer putting it on another external hd.. He was able to do this and was very helpful in accommodating my schedule and the prices was very reasonable. Thank you Shane, If I need anything else in the future, I'll give you a call.
