Reviews
Excellent
I hired Douglas and shark construction for a patch repair on some old steps underneath my wood deck that was structurally compromised. Douglas was attentive to detail, quick to respond, and extremely professional. Would recommend them for any mason job !
Douglas and the team at Sharks Constructions provide top quality concrete at a competitive rate. They were able to provide an accurate and fair quote before the project started. The scope of my project rapidly expanded and the team was ready and willing to accommodate with fair change order pricing. I look forward to working with them again on future projects!
Shark Construction excellent and highly responsible ! The team did a fantastic job remodeling my patio. They were professional, always arrived on time, and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend their services!" Thank you Douglas.
He was super knowledgeable and gave great fair prices. Work came out great and it was done super quick. Will be 100% using them for future projects. Had garage slab foundation and barn RCA pad put in.
This company has very hard-working people. They’re here early in the morning. Their work is professional. They clean up after themselves. If there are any questions along the way or any changes, they’re very accommodating. In the middle of my project, I added a patio and they were able to accommodate me within the timeframe they had originally given me I would highly recommend them.
They did a good job there’s a spot that has hair line cracks, but they are coming back to fix that problem.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend Shark Construction! Douglas was professional, honest, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He made multiple trips to ensure I understood the project and was comfortable with every step. His pricing was the best I found, and the quality of work speaks for itself. Douglas and his team worked quickly, professionally, and delivered excellent results. As a new homeowner, I truly appreciated his transparency and value. I’m extremely happy with my patio and would definitely recommend Shark Construction to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.
I’m in 100% agreement with the other reviewer Karol who also gave a one star. Douglas Amaya is not trustworthy at all! Do not believe his charm or smile and fake quote! He will keep you waiting and waiting on delivery with my lie after lie about being sick or out of the country. As I look back on the other reviews, it was clear he was on other jobs while keeping me waiting and in the end he did not keep his quote saying he forgot what he said and didn’t deliver on the project which had cost me time and money having to get another contractor and wait more time for his availability. I wouldn’t hire Douglas, honesty, trust and integrity are things he just cannot provide.
Douglas was very professional punctual and very courteous. He did my driveway basement steps and added a front yard sidewalk and step.It really improved the value of my home.Shark has excellent prices I would refer them.
I highly recommend this team for anyone needing quality concrete work. The crew was timely, efficient, and maintained great communication throughout the project. Most importantly, the finished product is superior - the craftsmanship and attention to detail are truly top-notch. I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Had a concrete slab and retaining wall done and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Communication was great the whole time—he kept me in the loop and answered any questions without any hassle. The finished product looks really clean and solid, and you can tell it was done right. Overall just a smooth, easy experience and I’d definitely recommend them.
Shark Construction, run by Douglas Amaya, has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional contractor experiences I’ve ever dealt with. Douglas was very quick to show up for the estimate, acting friendly and trustworthy, doing everything possible to gain confidence. Looking back, that “professionalism” was nothing more than a tactic to secure the job — completely fake. The moment it came time to actually deliver, everything fell apart. He was even faster when it came to sending the invoice and asking for payment, but after that, he vanished. For two full weeks, he ignored calls, ignored messages, and provided no schedule, no updates, and no commitment. My project has been delayed because of his silence and lack of responsibility. The only way to get him to answer the phone was to call from a different number — and even then, he still refused to give a straight answer or show any accountability. If a contractor forces you to “trick” them just to get a basic response, that tells you everything you need to know about their integrity. Shark Construction talks big when it’s time to collect money, but when it’s time to actually show up and do the work, Douglas disappears. Homeowners deserve honesty, reliability, and communication — none of which this company provided. I strongly warn others to stay away unless you want delays, excuses, and complete radio silence.
Sharks construction old was great my new concrete slab 12ft x10ft came out perfect I will be using them to lay pavers in my backyard next
Awesome attention to detail! Concrete is beautiful and solid.
Very satisfied with all aspects of working with Sharks, I highly recommend this company.
Great to work with Douglass. Will definitely work with him in the future.
They fixed my stoop. When they were done it looked great
Douglas was very honest and respectful, the job turned out exactly as he said it would. I will defiantly refer him to others looking for concrete work of any kind.
